What about those who earned extra tokens legitimately, through nurture or fest zone grinding. I already finished all my sculptures for this year so don't want to throw them at sculpting supplies that I wont be using, especially as it was stated that hording of supplies is a problem. Most of my coins came from nurturing all my project pet babies trying to earn scales to buy the pet dyes I need, and doing my festival boss runs for the avatar items they drop. I usually spend my extra tokens on avatar items in the fest shop but there were none this year so I literally have nothing to spend them on. Any Ideas on how to use them up so the problem of extra tokens is not such a problem? (Fall fest usually has the haunted house that I can throw my extra tokens at so that's helpful for fall.) Maybe you could add some other ordinary items to fest shops next year. Like some extra traps or elixers that players could always use more of both during festivals and when its not festival time. I can always use more elixers for my festival boss runs. Or maybe have a way to exchange them for other things we need like scales or other ordinary stuff, (Obviously not diamond shop items I am not looking for freebies, just a way to get rid of the extra scales earned from my hard work during the festivals.)

All tokens are earned legitimately. It's just some players earn/buy/trade for them and then end up hoarding a huge stockpile of coins that turn into 500 gold each come next Festival - on top of various supply items and everything else.

When asked, I have always always told people to hoard at your own risk. There is never a guarantee it'll turn into something/be useable later on.

The main issue is always just the simple balance of:

"Such and such is too rare and hard to get. I'm not wasting my time to try and get it."
vs
"Such and such is worthless. I can't sell it. Nobody wants to buy it. I'm not wasting my time to try and get it."

The reason that Tokens are limited in what you can spend them on is because they are farmed by the millions in festivals. Allowing them to be spent on some things would wreak havoc on those economies. So the norm has always been to be kinda restrictive with what they can be used for and keep them exclusive to festival related things only.

It was told from the beginning of the fest when the zone will be closed. Its on the front page of this forum.

Ah that does explain things. I just do a lot of nurturing whether its festival or not so usually end up with some extra. I was just curious how that would be affected or if the tokens earned outside of extra supplies was a problem.

i feel like what im hearing is "use your tokens cause they might be nerfed" Am i right? xD cause i have 28,000+ redeemed tokens and i will use them on iron tools if they arent going to be worth anything

And the price of sculpting agents has increased by more than a factor of 10 since this ping now that people are rushing to ensure they have at least 16%. New players have no chance of affording them at 14k EACH...

What a huge impact on the trade economy.

I don't suppose it'd be too much to ask for the cooldown to be taken off for adding supplies? Having to sit there and wait for a sculpture to "go bad" again will be *really* stressful during the time crunch. I can imagine a lot of stress rising for situations like, "Oh no, it just needs ONE MORE but I won't be able to add it in time because I have to go to bed :( " Or "I'm only here for an hour today... I won't be able to add the last fix because the cooldown won't go away in time."

There's also the issue of "Well, great. I just got 4 suns and 7 waters but I need SAND! >__< " Adding to the market prices jumping up exponentially.... Yeah, I can see a lot of frustration incoming with that.

If you still have supplies for sand sculping/ brewing/ snow building (like clams/blood, cata bags, salvaged catas , agents, additives,) in your inventory, they can be used for the next fest right? They don't expire like the tokens do right?

I'm fairly sure most things have expired in the past. There have been a few random exceptions (looking at you, mojo collectors, white pumpkins, and I think reindeer nets too?). But most everything else has expired before.

I know the stuff that's in the sculping page become expired tokens at the start of next year's fest.

But the stuff that's still unused in your inventory (where your elixers and philters are kept) do they expire upon the start of the same fest next year?
