Mein- gotta get sad anyway to write sad scenes! If writing your story doesn't drive you to tears, who else will feel a thing?
Ah yes, romance-
Well, as someone who was either a writer or a movie director once said, "When in doubt, have someone with a gun crash through the door"-
Don't be afraid to make characters awkward with romance if that's how you yourself are, it's kind of adorable in stories, but just don't overdo it (or be like me and avoid it altogether :P)

Good point. Oh, wait, both my birds died and it was my fault. Yes, that's sad enough.
Well. Once they were lamenting their loses and people with guns crashed through the door. I even decided on the music for that scene.
My characters are just awkward in general. I avoid romance, like, as much as possible. The furthest I go is hugs.
Phoenix: What's up?
Jay': Uh, the sky. What about you?
Phoenix: Yes.
Phoenix, will backhand people who try to flirt with her, so...?
Hmm, I dunno I was shipping Lilith and Raiden already.

I've actually been questioning where I should take their relationship- like, do they date, or just stay friends, or turn on each other and Lilith turns into a ninja-spy who listens to anime music and leaves memes painted everywhere and Raiden's just confused-
*cough* I-I don't know, I figured I'd just let the story take it where it would go ;-;
Especially after I introduce the gay character- I mean, what? *looks out window* No, spoiler, how dare you escape!?!?!??!?! D:

I had to look up 'aroace' X3 Those make pretty strong characters, but too often just turn into tsunderes ;-;
