Silversong made sure she was downwind and dropped into a crouch and pounced, aiming for the vole's neck.

If there's a baby, their probably is more. Silversong tried to quietly snag the baby and wait for the parent(s) to come out.

You got the baby one, but it let out a squeak to alert it's family before you managed to kill it.

Aww... ;-; Silversong mentally scolded herself for not killing the baby faster. At least she got something, she reminded herself and buried the vole, sniffing the air for more prey. Practice hunting and getting food for the kits was her main goal right now.

Silversong was sad that her hunting skill did not get better, but nevertheless she dug up the vole and followed the narrator's instructions, going back to the place she'd first left Lily.
