It's the season of Chillsky! Travelling will be more difficult, as the days are cold. However the weather is often clear and dry, but can sometimes be snowy and freezing. At night you will not survive without a proper fire or other source of heat.
Even though the fire in the hearth has been reduced to embers, the room is wonderfully warm after the chill of the air outside.
Balthur hasn't woken up since you left, whether that's a good or a bad thing he didn't notice you were gone. Knight, as quietly as he can so as not to wake the sleeping Centaur, starts to remove the fish and place it down on the ground for you to see.
In the firelight you can see the features of the fish more clearly, and if you're hopes were high that there would be the type you were looking for then you're disappointed as one after the other, dull gray ones slide onto the floor.
"I'm sorry," the Wyvern apologised softly. "I just couldn't see any that looked like they had rainbow scales."

After eating the fish, you feel tired but rejuvinated. You can tell by the whispering sound of the wind you can hear once more if you listen for it that your magic is back to normal, if slightly better now you've practiced with it.
Numbat stretches and yawns. "Well, I'm going to get some sleep," he says, grinning at you. "Lots of travelling to do tomorrow, and a long, Chillsky night to put up with."
He ducks into his tiny tent after making sure the fire is going steady.

The small Dwarven boy is wearing a thick, winter parka, so as you swoop over you can easily grab his hood and sling him onto Skywhisper's back.
He cries out in fright, gripping on for dear life as you easily catch up to the caravan. Skywhisper lands lightly on the one the boy had been on, unsure of what to do next but let the boy calm down.

"Good night Numbat," Asteria crawls into her tent, "Crimson tell the familiars if they get cold they can come in please."

"Hi!" I say cheerfully. "Good thing we caught you!"
As you continue through the river, you are grateful for how cool it is. The sun is scorching, and the water is your only relief.
Eventually, you realise that the water slows here and gets slightly deeper. Not that deep, but noticably. You can make out what appears to be a blockage up ahead - it looks like a clump of dead grass or something. It's hard to tell without getting up close.

Delirious slows down as she heads to investigate the clump of grass. She is careful to place each of her hooves sturdy on the ground before moving forward again, she isn't particularly interested in accidentally going for a swim today.

(From what I can remember he did get a plush toy xD)
"Well..." he narrowed his eyes for a second. "We could always get that sword some other way. That merchant was judging us the second he saw us, there probably isn't such a thing as a rainbow fish in the canals and he was just trying to get rid of us."
