Es made a note of this in his book and shook his head with a bit of a sigh.
He decided not to waste any further time on this, removed his hand from her forehead and sent a silent prayer to the Goddess asking for her guidance in helping Seraphina to personally find inner peace. He knew very well that this was a matter that he was not.. sure he had the aptitude to resolve himself. But he had a hunch the others were more than capable of it.
In time, maybe.
He closed the book, regathered his belongings, and made his way back out of her quarters.

Gallagher was outside the room, waiting for him to finish.

"I have located the source. But.. I am not sure this is the full result of any external force."

" What do you mean by that? "

Ezael
"The source of her misery is internal. She is feeling a deep despair that is corroding the light of her soul from the inside. This is not anything that simple purification can cure."
He sighed.
"I have seen this before. Such individuals come to the church, requesting our aid and guidance for combating such demons.. But only through one's own determination, can they be expelled.

I believe the Empress will need far more than just my own guidance. She is lonely. And terribly so."

" What do you suppose we do about that? "

Ezael
"She would need to let you and others in into her heart. But it may be difficult for her to do so as her trust is so.. eroded by her experiences. I am afraid I cannot give you much more of an answer than that, my friend."

He thought for a moment, before nodding once.

Ezael
"So I assume you have a means to resolve this then? If not, I could try to guide her directly, but.. She does not seem to appreciate my presence highly here and I would not like to misstep in the role that the Goddess has assigned me."
He pocketed the quills, adjusting his grip on the holy symbol in hand.
"I am not trained to combat emotional evils."

" Currently, I do not. But that does not mean I won't try. "
