The creature awkwardly shuffles onto its feet, rising to be a few feet higher than you are. Its slouched posture allows it to lean on its knuckles, though it shakes as it does so.
It seems to finally notice you and it grunts in surprise, stumbling away a few shakey steps. Its weary face regards you with a defeated but still defiant look, and it bares its teeth and gives a throaty growl.
You note that a heavy metal collar cuts into its neck, visible under its knotted fur. If there are any more broken restraints you can't see them under its unkempt, disheveled tangles of hair. But you can tell it causes the Yeti pain and may be part of the reason for how weak and broken it seems. It would also explain why it is so far from home.

His face lights up in recognition. Any memory of him falling from the caravan seems to have been completely forgotten in the boy's curiosity. "I thought so! Like Llamar and Thunderwing!"
You remember the names to belong to two characters in a well-known Elven fantasy book. The boy just hasn't seen an Elf and a Griffin in real life before, then.
The boy looks down at his ankle and his lip trembles for a second. "I hurt it. Ma always tells me not to sit on the roof, but I wanted to see all around..." he trails off, his eyes distant. "Wouldn't have seen you if I hadn't."

I frown. "I'm sorry, do you think you can put pressure on it? How bad does it hurt?"

You wake to the sound of metallic scraping outside and cheerful humming. Numbat it up, it seems.
Shootingstar slips out as you blink awake. Crimson, immediately aware that you are up, jumps on you and pokes her nose in your face. "Let's go!" she says excitedly. "Let's go adventuring!"
Emberpaw is a lot less enthusiastic than her, putting his paws over his ears in an attempt to grab a little more sleep.
The morning air is nippy - nothing getting up and about wont fix. But you know as it gets further into Chillsky the mornings will be a lot worse than this.

"These sorts of people underestimate what others are capable of," a roguish grin spreads across his face. "Wanna show him that?"

"Good morning Crimson," Asteria foddles her ears lovingly. She gently runs her hand over Emberpaw's back, "Come on sleepyhead we have to go."

It's been a long time since you were last here, when you were but an eager Elf wishing only to help those in need, but it seems as if you've never left. Elvenor stretches out before you, the same people with the same problems they always had.
Standing in the bustling marketplace, many tasks and quests are waiting to be found. How shall you start?
You figure it has to be a Wild Creature rather than a critter, considering its size. In a curled up heap it is at your shoulder level, so has to be taller standing up. From what you know of the various Wild Creature species, this can only be a Yeti, but it makes no sense for it to be here.
You notice that it has gotten colder. Such is the temperature in the season of Chillsky. The Yeti's breathing gets less laboured as the air cools to be more alike to its natural habitat. It shifts, as if about to get up, and you feel the pebbly riverbed shift under your hooves.
Delirious takes a few slow steps forward trying to keep eye contact with the creature. She slowly raises her hand up to point at her neck before pointing across at the Yeti, trying to silently convey a message along the lines of 'do you want some help with that?'. Although the creatures huge stature terrifies Delirious, she decides that it would probably be worse to leave it alone out here in such a state.
