Sage breathed in but she felt a burning sensation on screamed in agony. She didn't understand this pain.

Ember barreled out of the forest, still bleeding. She charged into the palace and tore down the stairs to the dungeon. With a grunt she picked the outside lock and slipped in. "Hello?" she called out of breath.

Sage didn't move. Her body on fire. She only cried slightly in pain.

Alerted Ember rushed forward to the last cell. She dashed in and crouched beside the dying feline. She pulled a flask off from around her neck and dripped some strange sweet smelling sticky liquid into the bite wound. "Here, rest."

Snake had been watching. "What do you think you're doing?" Snake growled. His tail hissed.

Sage felt at peace all of a sudden.

Ember whipped around and growled. "What were you doing?!" she hissed narrowing her blood red eyes.

Snake attacked Ember. Sage watched in fear. Snake's chimera tail sank it's fangs into Sage blindly.

Sage felt dizzy once more. She collapsed.

Ember hissed and charged Snake barreling into him. "ENOUGH!"

Snake lit Ember on fire as best as he could. He felt his fur burning.

Ember only grunted and staggered. She hissed. "There's a reason my name is Ember." with that she attempted to sink her fangs into his foreleg.
