Someone was watching them from the shadows. Her brownish skin and dark brown eyes stood out among the greenery. She blinked blankly and started to back away wishing the group wouldn't notice her. A small dark colored meowth whimpered and whined tugging its trainer towards the group. The trainer got agitated and stood still crossly and huffed. The meowth tugged harder and somehow Kiera managed to fall ungracefully onto her face. She groaned and spat out some dirt.

Thomas let Gradient take Action first seeing how Eager he was to jump in, but when he hit the ground Thomas stepped forward Yuri behind him rifling through her backpack. as he reached the edge Yuri through him a rope that he lowered down the Sylver and Rhys first. " Grab on! we will pull you up!" he called lowering the rope so Sylver could grab on. The edge was slick and muddy still and he didn't dare get too close. Yuri Had the end of the rope " Just Hold on Gradient! we will lower it to you next... Unless you want to climb up on your own.." she said sarcastically, not like she didn't care, but more like that would be a stupid decision.

The someone sat up on her knees. She stared blankly at the place where whole group of strangers were clustered. Two with ropes two were on the edge of the cliff face(?).

Gradient gritted his teeth, unseen by everyone else. "I'm fine." He called out, his voice calm. He could do this. Yes, he could.

Was that a flash of blue? Gradient parted the bushes. His guitar! And without its case too... Mom or Dad probably threw it out. Gradient thought. Ah well. Gradient slung it along his back, on top of his pretty empty bag.

Gradient pulled himself up a ledge a one and a half feet of the ground. He struggled a bit, but managed to make it. He would go up the way he went down. Gradient pulled himself up another ledge, now below Sylver and Rhys.

Gradient snuck along the ledge, going up diagonally. Another ledge. More walking. Another. Grading collapsed on the top of the cliff, feeling like he was dying. "Does anyone-" He huffed, setting his precious guitar aside. "Have a potion for me? I feel like dying." Some Perfect Prodigy he was.

Gradient's eyes fluttered close, as he fell into a somewhat light sleep. At least he had completed one of his simulation goals- just in real life.

Yuri Snapped her finger once not being able to speak as she watched him Pass out. Vul used powered snow on the ground below Gradient allowing for a soft but cold landing. She sighed Thankful for Vuls Speed and Training. Thomas Rolled his eyes, Yuri's sarcasm was Obvious, besides the kid just took a pretty rough fall, however he could understand the determination, it wasn't long ago he was in the same situation. He finished Pulling the two Up running a Hand through his hair " Hey Short stack He may need some help you have any of those berry thingies?" he asked his face serious and un amused " yes I brought a couple, but I think we will need to get more when we get to the island" she said pulling a small container from her back pack" Vul-Pix!" Vul called from down bellow. Yuri sighed and grabbed the end of the rope walking down the cliff face. it wasn't a far drop, but still a fall she didn't feel like taking.

Rhys went up the rope first, seeing as there was no way that Sylver could go first without dropping Rhys. Once Rhys was safely up, Sylver started heading up, Rhys laid on his stomach, reaching his hand down to help pull her up once she was close enough. The two held hands for a few moments longer once they were both standing, but once they noticed, they pulled their hands away in disgust.

Gradient was shook awake, only to find Litten and Eevee scratching at his face, leaving little red trails.. Gradient supposed he had always been a light sleeper; he had to be. Heck, he had been kidnapped once for a ransome send to his parents! Of course, his parents had left him there. But Gradient got out.

Thankfully.

Gradient yawned, twisting his head slightly. Another girl? How many people were going to find him? At least they weren't the rabid fangirls and overexcited parents Gradient was used to dealing with on a daily basis, but still!

Gradient sat up in criss-cross apple sauce position. "Litten, Eevee, next time, don't make me bleed awake. And Eevee, that time I got kidnapped was the only time you're allowed to do that to me from now on. Unless I get kidnapped. Again." Gradient looked at the new girl. "Who are you?" He asked, reaching for his bag. He popped a berry into his mouth, and instantly felt better. He reached for his guitar, humming a random tune. perfection, son. you failed.

Yuri and Thomas we a little ways away from the group arguing...
"... Really?! is that what your worried about?!" Thomas said flaring his hands out in disbelief
" Yeah, Battles were always your thing Me and Vul only really do scouting, we aren't that strong.." she said pulling her hair up into twin tails.
" Strong or not I'm not letting you go on the trials on your own, and definitely not without me!" he said crossing his arms clearly frustrated" You're smart short stacks, I know you realize how ridiculous that sounds..." he added raising an eyebrow.
" I do I just don't want to get in the way like last time.." she said lowering her head, she didn't know why she was talking to Thomas of all people, she just figured that out of everyone he would be okay with it, apperintly she was wrong.
" Hey, Yuri, You don't have to feel bad about that anymore, we were just kids, and it was my fault to begin with.." he said offering a smile and rubbing the back of his head.
" Vul-Pix!" Ren and Vul called when Gradient woke finally. catching the two's attention. Yuri walked over and grabbed a water bottle from her bag and handed it to him. " You have a nice Nap?" she asked rhetorically raising an eyebrow. Thomas standing over her shoulder his hands in his pocketslooking down at him before he turned his attintion to the newest arrival " I don't believe I got your name earlier, I'm Thomas" she said with a smirk holding out his hand politely.

Ailla sighed. "Once again I was completely useless she muttered under her breath. She shook her head as if to clear her thought and came back up all smiles. For once her rowlet behaving sitting peacefully on her head. Which it seemed was now its favorite position. She walked over to gradient. "You alright? Quite a nasty fall." Ailla commented. Extending a hand to help him up.
