I think what he means is, there are different styles, but some styles are more confusing than others. What I do, is add tons of detail, and it attracts a bit more attention. Also if you add what your cat is thinking, it makes it easier for others to understand what's going on, and making decisions I'd easier. It also doesn't confuse people about what I'd going on, and you can add things like how aggressive your cat is being.

Example:

Lightningstar narrowed her eyes and her fur began to bristle. She barred her teeth at the intruder, and let out a faint hiss, unsheathing her claws.


You don't have to follow this style if you don't want to, and I totally understand if you decide to keep to the old, but it might help out the other players more if you added some more detail. It doesn't even have to be a lot of detail like I do. But I don't want real fighting, so let's try to avoid that in our conversations. I am not saying you were fighting, but there seemed to be a bit of gruffness back there.

Blackfire paced around his stump, infuriated by the threats of the wannabe clan leader, Lightningstar.
If I have to take all her lives, I will. he thought. After all, Brokenstar was Blackfire's hero as a young 'paw.

She watched the black tom carefully, why am I so attracted to him? she wondered. Ever since she had saw him she had just been, memorized over something about him. She shook her head and continued eating her mouse. She look around the tiny clearing, she got an empty feeling inside in this place. It didn't feel like a real camp to her.

Lightningstar still couldn't find what she was looking for. Nothing worked as a camp, but perhaps she was being too picky. This place didn't have enough shelter, that one was too thorny, another was too close to the river, and still more had terrible defenses. She signed, before heading back to the bush. There was no need for hunting, her fish would feed them all, so she hardly glanced at the prey. She did take care to avoid startling them however. After all, there were still other rouge's who might not have as much luck as her group was.

"Fox dung!" he roared, stubbing his paw on a sharp piece of twig.
A sort of spectre of Scourge appeared behind him. He looked not like the cats of Starclan, for his fur resembled shadow, not stars. His eyes were red and empty. Scourge's broad shoulder's and sense of power was horrifying. Only he was strong enough to be able to subdue the vicious warriors of Bloodclan.
"Blackfire," the spectre said, his voice so low, it could have been mistaken for a growl, "You must forget about us. Bloodclan is through, you must accept that. Do not follow my path, it leads only to the Place of No Stars. Join a clan, settle down, make me proud." Scourge said, before he faded into nothing.
"Scourge, come back!" Blackfire cried, desperate to know more.
"Remember what I said, Blackfire." Scourge's voice reverberated through his mind.
Blackstar sat down. "I understand..." he said.

She tilted her head as she watched Blackfire jump around and giggled a little. ((Short post))

Lightningstar finally got back to camp. The early morning air rustled her fur, and she padded up to Fang, feeling like she was still flying through the treetops. "Hi, sorry I was gone this morning. I was trying to find a better place to stay. This bush isn't a great permanent camp."

She nodded. "How bout' we check out that path over there later?". ((QUICK POST))

Lightningstar shook her head. "I've already scouted around this area, but I couldn't find anything. It looks like Stormpelt and I will have to keep traveling for now. You're welcome to join us if you want." She said, gently nudging Stormpelt awake. "But first we should all have been breakfast."
