You try and follow the scent trail, but lose it a few times. Refinding it, you can hear the muffled yelps of Thornkit, the strong stench of fox filling the air.

You move the smaller stones and with a lot of effort push the larger one out the way. You notice it was dusk already, and you were exhausted and thirsty. Briarpaw moved slightly, but was still out cold, her tail crooked at the tip.

I know I need water, but I decide to get some sleep first. I curl up near Briarpaw.

You can't quite fall asleep yet, since you're still worried for Briarpaw (Basically i don't want to time skip quite yet). She opened her eyes, breathing raggedly. Her sight was blurry, and she couldn't scent you, but she could feel you.
