Aris made a mental note of where the fruits were and looked around. She wanted to scan the forest for other useful things before filling up Atropos's basket with fruits. "I'm gonna go look around some more!" she called out to Atropos, then walked a little deeper northward into the forest, not too far from where Atropos was.

Aris felt weird tingles on her fur, but was unsure what to make of it. Being cautious for hidden dangers, she walked slowly forward towards the plants and herbs.

((Sorry for the delay, was asleep all day!))

Many of the trees were tall and had slick bark, though there were many herbs, and a few different fruits littered the ground
one was red and had small projections with green tips, another was round and a glowy cobalt color and there were also gem shaped gold fruits

"Huh." Atropos poked one of the red fruits with green projections. "This looks like a... What was it again? Ah yes, a dragonfruit." She looks around for vines or big leaves they could carry stuff in.

Aris looked over at the dragonfruits. "At least we know those are safe to eat." She looked over at the unknown fruits. "Wonder if those are safe though." She pawed them around, looking around for seeds of them, or wondering if she'd have to take them back and eat them to get the seeds from the fruits themselves.

Atropos collected some of the sturdy looking vines and sticks, laying out the sticks flat parallel to each other before weaving the vines in between, then pulling it tight. It formed a nice, sturdy, basket-like structure. "How's this?" She shows it to Aris. "This should be able to carry a lot. There's more vines and sticks, so we can make more! We can even try to make a pulley system to get this stuff and us up the sides of the cliffs so we don't need to climb every time!"

It's not super big, it's about big enough to be carried on either Atropos or Aris's back.

Aris was surprised when she turned around and saw a basket crafted rather quickly. "Oh, wow, neat basket." She tilted her head. "If there are things that are too big for the basket, we can make some sort of pallet to drag back to the plateau." She rubbed a paw on her chin. "Actually, we won't even need to do anything complicated...if we find a big enough leaf like a palm tree leaf or a big tree husk, we can just put stuff on that and drag it around, so that we don't have to heavy-lift the heavy stuff."

"True." Atropos nodded. "Shall we collect some leaves and moss for bedding and some long sticks so we can start with the foundation of a home?" She followed after Aris.

Aris turned around. "Hm, good idea. Leaves and moss would feel much better on my body," she replied.

As Atropos drew near, Aris's puffadore tendrils wavered cautiously. "Do you feel something off about this area?" she asked, feeling the strange aura.

"It is true. There is a dark aura floating around. I can feel it, being a creature of the shadows. Keep your guard up." Atropos said, her orbs flying around her head in erratic circles. "If anything attacks, my orbs can help."

"Alright." Aris's tail flicked upwards, staying alert as she continued forward. "Worst case scenario, we run back to the plateau. Hopefully whatever baddies that are around can't climb up."

One of Atropos's orbs accidentally smacked into Aris's head, straying from its erratic orbit. "Oh dear, sorry!" Atropos exclaimed. "Some force is at work here..." She glanced into the depths of the forest. We'll continue to go on. See anything of interest and throw it in this basket." Atropos gestured to the basket-structure she'd made and now was dragging with a harness bound to her own body. "This easily comes off, so if we need to run it shouldn't be a problem."

I'm pretty thirsty, but shudder again at the thought of the water that carried me to the island. I head towards the water and find myself at a lake. I bend down to take a quick drink.
