The door, being huge and heavy, did not budge under your pushing and pulling. Dora sat down by your feet, wagging her tail patiently. After some time, you discovered that to the right of the door, about your eye-level, there was a stone that stuck out from the wall unlike the other stones.
Hummmmm.... that's strange. I used my fingers to feel the texture of it. After touching to make sure that it is not a trap of any kind, I pushed and pulled the stone to see if it gives me any hints or tools for opening the door that, apparently, refuses to open.

The stone button smoothly slides into the wall with a click, and the heavy mahogany door beside it swings open soundlessly, revealing a dark, dimly lit hallway. Dora barked and circled your legs a couple of times.

(am I supposed to know anything about magic?)
Not quite sure what Dora was telling me to do, I approached the door carefully, not wanting anything to jump out. However, I soon recalled that the Lord wanted to see me, so I supposed that hallway to be safe--whoever the lord is, they probably don't want to see me as a pile of gore. Followed by Dora, I walked into the hallway, still a bit suspicious about the fact that it is darker than usual.

(Weeeelll.. What is your magic skill?)
The hallway was dark, because the walls, floor, and ceiling were made of smooth, polished black marble. Torches hung at intervals on the walls, incased in iron bars. Down the dark hallway, you could make out another door, and the door was similarly coloured to the one you just saw, but a bit smaller. You couldn't make out anything else about it because it was quite far away.
Whoever had spoken had vanished, without any sound or trace. You sat up on a uncomfortable bed, which seemed to be a bed cot, and felt something poke your side as you did so. Looking down, you find that it's a book on edible plants. On the floor next to your cot was a small leather bag. The entire medium-small sized stone room was lit by a singular tiny window, letting in only the smallest bit of light to illuminate the place. In the wall opposite of you, a grand, ancient-looking, deep red door awaited.
What-what is there place? He muttered to himself.
He briefly flipped through the book, not paying attention to anything on its pages, before setting it somewhere where it wasnt poking him. He folded his hands nackwards together in his morning ritual, popping his fingers.
He pulled the bag into his lap, opening it and looking inside.

(Remember to ping! The quote button unfortunately doesn't come with an automatic ping!)
You open the bag, finding a handful of coins inside. There were five golds, ten silvers, and a hundred coppers, and a small note that read as follows:
Do not waste your time, for the Lord is waiting.

(Whoops, sorry. I think I may have accidentally pinged IvyCat of a repetition)
He fingered through the money for a moment, it was quite a lot. This Lord person clearly wasnt looking to harm him, why give money to a person youre going to kill?
Then again, it could be a ploy to win him trust... time for the humor test.
Micah shoved the book into the bag and picked it up, heading towards the door.
The hallway was of smooth, black marble, and was lit by torches in iron bars, giving the entire place a gloomy and ominous feel. You made your way into the hallway, and see a door similar in colour to the one that had just let you into the hallway, and the door was at the very end of the hallway. Art was quiet on your shoulder.
Phoenix stroked Art, and quietly walked towards the door. So many doors... She mused. Wonder whatll be behind this one. She stopped stroking Art and ran her hand along the wall. Come on. No more pondering. Lets get to the door. Phoenix said, and ran the rest of the way to the door.

The beggar woman clung to your dress, and as she was begging for money, she drew the attention of more beggars, who all closed in around you. It appeared that the alley you were in was the home of many poor people. Diana was gone from your side, and you spotted her fluffy tail sticking out of a nearby trashcan.
(As I stated before, I do not plan on her survival.)
April backed out, terrified. She could feel herself cracking as her eyes prickled. She held her breathe, she felt as if she was about to explode and burst out everything. She wanted to cry out and scream at them to leave her alone, but her instinct told her no, it'd be rude and dangerous.
