You fall asleep almost instantly and a dream begins. The enchantress who gave you the crystal is there. She smiles and waves you over.

"Vrivuia! Come rid my poor eyes of this hag." your cruel owner shouts. You take the old women away, leading her to a barn to keep warm until morning sets in.

You tend to the woman in the barn, having nothing else to do. You give her your food for the day, knowing you can sneak more out of the kitchens later the next day. After you see the woman well, you roll your eight dice, silently wondering what the next day will bring for you.

The women silently watches you then stands up and walks towards you extending her closed palm, "This is for you." as she opens her palm for you to see inside you spot something black with gold and orange flowing down it, a small gem.

You gladly take the gem, holding it in your gloved hands. You stare down at your dice, then back at the gem. It feels powerful. Hesitantly, you ask a question. "What is it?"

She smiles as the gem answers for her. A whisper of air rushes in from where you don't know since the barn is completely closed up. The strings of orange and gold that seemed to be attached from to the gem pull away and swirl around you. The gold light makes crackling siunds like lightning while the orange on Mel's everything it comes into contact with, "You now have powers. This gem will protect you the best it can on your journey... as will I." the woman says. He body morph into a young healthy woman as she saunters out of the barn. Her body begins to slowly dissipate until she is lost in the wind and the wind begins to die down. The gold and orange begin to retract as the swirl around the gem once more.

You stare blankly for a minute, wondering who and where she actually came from. Then you take your dice a put them in your pocket you had sewn out of your slave garb. You stare into the crystal, keen on trying out your new powers. You raise your hands in front of you, expecting something supernatural to happen.
