Only seconds later you heard a this on the other side of the door as the last scientists life ended.

Your parents had recently divorced your mom passing away not to long after. Since you were in her custody at the time of her passing. You have lived alone for the past year or so.
His hand went up and he began tracing the frame of the picture and wiping away the dust to get a better look.
For a second he looked at you dad then his eyes moved to the part of the picture with you smiling as you and your dad ran around.

She turned around to try to find the bandages. She was clearly holding back the emotions

You found the bandaids in a cabinet underneath a few other medicines and ointments.
You turned back to see him now starting at you and the photo back in the same position as before only slightly cleaner.

She picked up the bandaids and went back to the room

She walked in, wearing some showy clothes. She tracked her brother.

He lay on an examination table his eyes were closed his breathing ragged and pained. He had scars on his forehead and bare chest.

At the sight of you turning and walking back he turned his attention to his hands where he began to push his index fingers together. He was pretending that he wasn't just staring at you a second ago.

'What did they do to you?' She said to him, lifting hm up with a few shadows.

Weakly he lifted his hand to his forehead touching his freshly made wounds.
"They... cut into me... and cut skin out to find... out my pain... tolerance."he said gasping every so often for a breathe.
