Bride of the Forest

She is the bride of the forest, thus she watches over all the creatures and plants, and protects them from harm. She loves and cherishes all animals. During the summer days her eyes turn the golden yellow of the sun, her dress turns green and lengthens to soak up the sun light, her vial gets greener as she walks through the bushes and brambles. Birds and sylesti flock to her as she is their mother, looking at her forest she is filled with love and peace.

"I'm back!" she cried as emerged from the dark forest. She tore the rest of the brambles off her legs and stood up proudly. Her leafy red dress looked torn around the edges, but it seemed to shine under the brilliant light of the sun. Her hair, grown long during the months spent in the forest, blewing serenely in the breeze. In her hand was a torn, pink and purple spellbook. It was Merlin's.

A crowd stared up at her, shocked that she had managed to survive. After all, they were sure she was dead.

Arthur and Mordred, intensely fighting each other only earlier, paused their sword fight. Faces pale, they whispered the next word in unison.

"Morgan?"

Living in the heat of the desert (hence desert sand colored background and non-bulky clothes) you set out on a quest to find anything to provide relief from the three digit temperatures. You know to only quest at night and rest during the day to conserve energy, water and food. As your food dwindles it is now or never. One last attempt and you find a staff that will grant ice...well water in this temperature, but it will still be relief from the harshness of the summer sun. Surprisingly the only cost was slight dehydration and a nasty sunburn (pinkish red skin)

Anyways, this is Sun Child. She takes care of the sun! During the colder months of winter, she gets very tired and sleeps. That's why its so cold during those months. When she awakes in spring, she's a little tired so the sun doesn't shine as brightly or give off the most heat. Once it's summer, she gives the sun caring her all! The warmth of the suns rays warm the Earth.

This is Ariana, she was sailing on a ship with her mother, her father, and her older brother. On the third day of their sail a storm blew in. Her family all went to the base of the ship and settled in, but Ariana was left on the deck. She yelled for them but no one seemed to hear her. She held on to the mast of the ship. But her grip was not strong enough and she flew off the side of the boat. Ariana could swim, but it was no use. the boat was floating away faster than she could swim towards it. Stranded and all alone, she noticed a small island . She slowly swam her way through the storm towards the island.

5 years later

Ariana has lived on the island for 5 years now. She has learned her way to hunt, to cook, and survive. She has never made a change of clothes so she lives in the same clothes she wore on the ship. The only memory of her family is a locket she wears around her neck. She never takes it off. She misses them. She wants to find a way home.

Interview with a Summer Star


The interviewer was nervous as she stepped out of the private helicopter she had just arrived in, she was going to meet an Idol, an actor and woman to feirce to be reckoned with, the infamous star known as Lady Diamond. Griping her notes in sweaty palms she was instructed to follow the armed guard to a deck beside a picturesque private beach.

The wait wasn't long before a figure walked up the beach, her dazzling beauty seamed to sparkle as she approached, a small white creature on a leash trotted beside her and growled as it spotted the stranger waiting for them. The interviewer took note of it, a very rare and very loyal breed, the animal was a fantastic specimen of its kind and obviously well trained, she believed they were called ryou but she would check her sources when she returned.

Lady diamond sat adjacent the reporter and smiled.

Lady D: " Hello Da'ling, I see travel agreed with you, you are looking smashing. I must make this quick Da'ling, Issac dosn't like to have his routine upset, and I must head off to a set soon." She pet the small white creature that continued to growl.

Interviewer: "Thank you for agreeing to my interview, lady Diamond. I will do my best to make this quick." She pulled out a tape recorder, cleared her throat and got started with a nervous look at the little 'Issac' " Today I am here with the engaging and glamorous Lady Diamond, a woman who plays her real life so close to the chest that very little is known about her real life, so little in fact that her recent marriage was held in secret and so hush hush I only found out about it just before coming here to this interview. Many of your fans have been wanting to know, why so much secrecy about your personal life?"

Lady D: " Well Da'ling, a lady must have her secrets, I prefer to keep my home life at home and my show life for the public. It is far better and less of a hassle. I do always have time for my fans though Da'ling, I do so adore them."

Interviewer: "How about your past, have you always wanted to be a star?"

Lady D: " Always Da'ling, I used to sing and make home videos as a small child, It was a long grueling road to gt to where I am now but It was always my dream, I encourage anyone with a dream to reach out and grab onto it, you can get there if you truly believe you can."

Interviewer: "How about your infamous sparkle, what is your secret?"

Lady D: " Oh that?" The star lifted an ebony arm a moment and twisted it, a thousand sparkles seamed to dazzle the eye for a moment "I wear many diamond strands and my signature diamond dust, today it is simply my jewelry that sparkles, they don't call me Lady Diamond for nothing Da'ling, one must be marvelous."

One of the bodyguards that had escorted the Interviewer approached and whispered into Lady Diamond's ear

Lady D: "Sorry Da'ling, It seams that is all the questions I have time for today, another time perhaps, my gentlemen will see you home, Tata." she left to board her private helicopter and with a glittering wave the summer star saw the interviewer off.

Lapping Shores

A lone figure appeared on the horizon, as if from the action of the ocean lapping the shore itself. As the figure treaded the beach along the shoreline, the waters poured around his paws and then withdrew back into the ocean. The repetitive motion was relaxing and reassuring and his stroll was calming and pleasant. He lifted his head and wings to let the ocean breeze flow through his fur and feathers. He paused in his stride and just enjoyed the moment. Everything was right was right in the world and everything was wonderful. As he slowly opened his eyes, he resumed his walk, watching the lovely Summer sky. There were some clouds but mostly it shone a beautiful bright clear blue. The sun burned brilliantly, white and yellow. A single shorebird hung quietly, high in the air. Looking out over the ocean, he gazed upon the stunning waters, rippling with colours that mirrored the sky, waves cresting and breaking in pale blues and whites, fueling the tide amongst his limbs. Lowering his gaze to the shore beneath his paws, he allowed himself to be mesmerized by the submerge of his paws, the saturation of the sand, the retreat of the ocean's edge, and the resulting sinking of his toes. He admired the variety of shapes and sizes and colours of the shells adorning the beach, watching as some appeared from beneath the sand as water washed over them while others secreted away as they were covered. But what was this? An object of some sort seemed wedged into the sand, lapped by the waves like the shells and his paws. Perhaps a bit of sea glass? He reached out to it and pulled it from the sand, the round object beginning to shine brightly like the sun. As he lifted it into the air, it was as if he had lifted part of the ocean itself with it. Seawater flowed forth from the object, carrying fish and all sorts of sea life with it. He watched it in astonishment and amazement as it just kept flowing, spilling into the ocean. Then he realized what this must be and he stood in awe of the greatness before him. It was the ocean's beginning. This was where the great water mass had come from, where all the inhabitants of the sea had come from, where he had come from... He was humbled being in such presence and held it to his chest for a moment. He then returned it to its snug placement amid the sand and waves and bowed in deep respect. With another moment of reverence, he then continued on his way, appreciative and forever touched by the blessing he was given.

I had been working on an Avatar Design based on the Lighira Design since I made it, completely unrelated to this Contest/Game, then I saw that I hadn't submitted anything for this Contest yet and I was like why don't I submit my Lapping Shores Lighira Avatar since I've been putting so much work into it and it is Summer based! :O
