What I meant was in the setting of Sylestia. Of course carnivals and clowns aren't Sylestia-ish. That's our twist. But it's still in Sylestia.

Alright so looking over everything I'm gonna have to say carnival. Sorry Vigil I know you really had your heart set on something else but I have a couple of reasons for going with carnival and I'll go into detail to them below.

1. It's a very simple, open-ended idea.
It's a simple story "A sylestian carnival" boom done. And the simpler the better especially for a newspaper comic sketch. It's also very open-ended, we can go to many places with this, we can go anywhere in sylestia switching locations as we wish, having the characters encounter whatever but also the ending is very easy. Unlike all the other suggestions this one can have an ambiguous ending and that's fine.
we could quite literally just end it with them reminiscing about their adventures and saying "I wonder what comes next?" and that's a good ending. All the others would have a main conflict that had to be overcome, and once the conflict is taken care of the story will have to be strained and thrown out of whack to figure out what comes next. Or what if we end it half-way through? that leaves readers unsatisfied and I don't find that fair at all.

2. It seems more people have some ideas for this.
Sorry again Vigil but this suggestion just seemed to have provoked the most thought in everyone, Griffin you mentioned something about a psychic sylvorpa? Living you had a vulnyx clown character? We already have two characters (and tbh I myself have a bunch of plot ideas, adventures, location visions etc.) and thats all from just a mention of the prompt. I think that says a lot about this. if we can already have so many ideas from the start we should go with it.

3. It has the most flexible plot.
Kind of related to reason #1 but going more in depth to the plot. Because it's such a broad term, carnival we can do so much with this. Carnivals never stay in one place, so we can keep introducing new characters, new locations, and if there is ever a time where we think maybe things are a bit of a dead end with the plot or we don't like how an adventure ended it's fine because the carnival just moves so we get a fresh new start. It's much more flexible and easier to shape into a believable reason not to finish something or lave something unresolved. And equally leave something resolved and never have to find a reason to keep the plot line because we have nothing else.

4. It's the one that screams sylestia the most to me
While the other suggestiosn had sylestian elements this one actually takes place IN sylestia, like i the locations and towns that we players explore on the map. That's something the others don't have. it's also a perfect blend between sylestia (sylesti characters, and sylestian world) and real life (carnival) it seems believable to me. Like yes! of course there' s asylestian carnival why wouldn't there be?
This is something I believe would actually exist in sylestia.

I have a bunch of other reasons as to why the carnival but I think these four are the most important. I promise I did look over all the options and suggestions and while I loved them all this one just seemed best for a newspaper comic strip. Sorry if you don't like the decision but we really need to pick something and move on. We already don't have something for this month so we need something for February.

so i suggest figuring out who does what, what you want the first strip to have and doing that. I'll leave it to you for now, mostly just be floating stalking the conversation :p

Alright. See you later. Alright, so I already said I can do character design and coloring. What does everyone else want to do?

I'd love to make character designs as well. I can do coloring w you if you need griff but I think i'd like to do shading/highlighting and, if you want, I can completely digitally paint the background, leaving line art for characters which will shove them forward.

Also can we turn Pierrot into a vulynx clown?
