Diana was already waiting for him.

It took Lowell some time to make a bit of preparations before he left, leaving a quick note to Giselle where he had gone and tucking a dagger, some bolts, and crossbow into his overcoat pockets. He didn't count on a fight with her, but if he needed to protect himself from her slimy, witchy antics, he was more than ready to do so.

When he finally arrived at her rose garden, he gave a bow and tried to bury the contempt he had for her in his eyes.
"I trust I haven't kept you waiting too long?"

" No. Sit. " She said to him, gesturing a gloved hand to the seat in front of her.

Lowell reluctantly took a seat in front of her, folding his hands on the decorative iron table between them.
His expression was one of barely suppressed confusion and slight irritation. He said nothing else to her, waiting with baited breath and stilled contempt for whatever she might have to have say to him.

She turned to him with a smile. " Tell me something, Lowell. Doesn't it irk you when someone doesn't get a job done? Especially one that has a very large impact. " She gestured to a maid who came over and poured tea into both of their cups.

It did irk him to fail to finish one. To be reminded of it from this wench threatened his dwindling patience.
"It may." He said, eyeing the maid and the tea with indifference.

" It certainly does bother me. Especially when you're getting paid to do so. " She picked up her cup and took a sip of tea.

Lowell
"Don't try that now. We both know there was no payment involved here."
He stared at his tea, sniffing at it for a moment before returning his eyes on her.

" I never specified whether I would be paying you money or not. "

The tea smelled like your usual hibiscus(the best tea in my opinion) tea.

(facts. Earl Grey with lavender is probably my second fave.)
