(Anything and everything can be done within reason, and it's never irrelevant if you don't think it is. So long as you have time and a dagger, you can learn to carve. No guarantees you'll do it just how you imagined at the start. Plus doing something wrong could have permanent, unforseen consequences. Depends if I'm feeling mean that day :P)
They appear to be rusted and old, cracks forming where perhaps the Yeti has tried to break them but failed. Brute strength isn't an option, then. You'll have to use what you have on hand and try some different way.
The Yeti had seemed reluctant to let you near, but now its nostrils flare and it creeps toward you, eying your pack. You hear its stomach rumble from here.
Welp, I'm picking up a dagger in the next town!

Delirious sighs, mentally noting that she will have to pick up more food when she's next able to. She slings her pack up into her arms and digs around for a minute before taking out a loaf of bread that she'd been inexplicably keeping in the bottom.
"You hungry?"
After tearing off a small chunk for herself she offers the rest to the creature. Glancing between the small pick in her pack and the cuffs she wonders if it would be able to cause enough damage to break them...
"Oh yeah... I forgot you could do that. Good for nothing dragons," he snorts. "Elves can make fire just the same, and they don't make a big thing of it."
The sign reads: 'Orregan's Enchanted Emporium'. In smaller writing underneath is an enscription reading: 'XIV'. It has nothing to do with the stallowner's title, so must be something to do with how this outrageously neat and ordered city works.
Perhaps searching around for a similar enscription on some warehouses or other places nearby that could store goods will bear some fruit. The storage space shouldn't be too far away, for convenience when it has to be brought back to the stall.
"I'll try," he says, unsure of himself as he takes your packs and your quiver in his talons.
You manage to lower him down most of the way but he accidentally slips out of your grip at the end. He lands with a small 'oof', but doesn't complain. He shimmies out of the way so you can get down the ladder, waiting.
I scoot down the ladder and call, "Is anyone here? Hellooooo!"

Numbat shakes his head, a distant look creeping into his eyes. "You can't fight the cold. Or the endless blizzards and the howling wind. And no matter how tightly you hold on to those wild creatures of yours, you can't stop the endless darkness from taking them."
He shakes his head. "Anyway, here I am giving you scare stories. So long as we're quick, the worst you're going to get is a little frostbite. Nothing that can't be fixed. Get as much sleep as you can - it's another long day of travelling ahead of us."
He disappears into his tent before you can say anything. Crimson blinks at you, a worried expression on her face.

"I sense it too Crimson," Asteria gently pats Crimson, "Let's make sure that all of us are safe and warm. Shootingstar would like it if I bought you a blanket?"
(Also when will Crimson turn from a pup to an adolsent?)

(Well, a dagger or some other sharp object in any case)
The bit of bread you took fills you up and should keep you going today.
Cautiously it pinches the loaf of bread that is dwarfed in its hand and sniffs it again. After a thorough checking, it stuffs the whole thing in its mouth and swallows it soon after.
The pick seems like the likely tool for the job, but you're only going to find out by trying.
Most places in Elvenor are no-fly zones, restrictions that were introduced long ago when air traffic got so bad that accidents were occuring almost all the time and people got seriously injured - sometimes killed.
The crowd is thick, people trying to get to work or out on various errands that the morning usually brings. But on the main street the numbers die down a bit and you're able to make your way relatively quickly.
At the bottom of the main street is an open square before the gate to the Adventurer's Road. But there are plenty of buildings around that you can't discern from here, and you're only looking for one.
I go down to the square and look at the buildings to find where the blacksmith is.

"Why are you sighing? We're progressing through our... uhm, quest," he says, trotting over to the boats and peering at them. "Trying to find the hidden treasure. That's very... hidden. And treasury. Anyway, where are we going now?"

The boy stretches out his arms, wanting help up. He mustn't be able to walk very well.
You hear a hubbub from the next room behind the closed door - voices arguing, it seems. Probably loud enough that your call wasn't heard, as no-one has come to investigate yet.
"Keep on talking about orcs," the boy explains. "I know what they are, too. orcs and goblins and trolls. They was all in there fighting against Llamar and Thunderwing. Tall as a tree, right? Great big tusks and roars like dragons."
Less than accurate, but better than nothing.
