this challenge was pretty easy because I like all species equally (except or revamp nytes zols lups and vuls. those are mah faves) so I chose one I'm not so good at designing with the ryori
critique:
I'm sorry but I gotta be honest I don't like your design. your greens, purples, and yellows were too overpowering and you're blue. your blue... well I don't know what was wrong but it was really off. soooooo I played around in the generator trying different traits and colors and somehow I came up with this!

Unfortunately not hon. This is why mandatories are so difficult. The rules are truly upheld. Though not sure how you missed the very 1st requirement that stated 1 gender only. I am sorry, but maybe next time.

Seems this challenge is proving more difficult then I thought. I did lay everything out there for you all to read and review before you attempted to do this. It truly is unfortunate. Please remember to read and review each challenge post. Don't skim or by pass any information, as all of it is important. By skimming or lightly reading over everything you have a tendency to skip IMPORTANT information, and there by falling short in your design post.
And with it being a mandatory challenge, I am not at liberty to be lenient as I normally would for other challenges. Reasons being, it is a more difficult challenge with higher stakes. I hope you all can understand that. We still have a few more that can submit their designs for possible placement. Let's wish them luck, and maybe have a better turn out for eligibility next time.

I honestly do not like Qitari. The designs, the traits, and the fact it kinda just feels like a horse to me. I always just feel they're kinda bland, and don't really have many interesting features or traits. So, this challenge was quite difficult, but I think I've made something I'm pretty proud of!
Critique
I love the idea behind your design! It's such an interesting concept, and your design really shows that idea! The fact you've used dark reds to represent the malice, and the Demonstalker's Horns with the sigil really gives the vibe that this creature has been summoned from someone's hatred. However, I do feel like the pastel pink Grim Rose Bones really subtract from this idea, softening the hardness of your design. I personally would change the colour to a more beige colour, which not only makes it look more like bones but adds a pop of different colour. You could also change the trait to something like leaf veins, which you could use to add some nice colouring, but I really liked how the Grim Rose Bones added that spooky vibe so I keep them in. I also feel like you could vary the tones of red a bit more, adding some darker and brighter reds would add some nice depth to your design, and make it stand out a bit more.
