Lowell folded his hands on the table again, stifling a laugh. This woman was completely mad.

Lowell gave her a bit of a snarl.

"I believe we are through here. I have nothing to offer you, snake. And I have more than half the mind to kill you myself for your treason." He said as he pulled a dagger from his overcoat and held it sternly at her from across the table.

" Who said I would beg for it, instead of just taking it? " She said.

Someone he hadn't sensed came up from behind him and wrapped a thick burning chain around his throat, then pulling tightly on it, cutting off his airflow.

Lowell clutched at the chain over his neck, attempting to rip it apart as fur bristled down his arms and back at his rising tension and danger to his life.
