Good morning everyone. I hope you are all doing well. I have completed my updates thus far. I believe we are waiting on 2 more entry. After that, if it is eligible I will do my updates and post the results early.

Hey everyone. I completed all three of the main "Official" contests for Avatar and Pet based contests. I would like your feedback if at all possible. I know the Pet trait one and avatar one I was getting use to the pixel pen, so my earlier sketches weren't great but I think you will get the general idea of what I was going for. As a fan of both Qitaries and galaxies, I can't help but adore your design! I really love the colors you chose, especially for the mane. It's so bright and colorful! My main concern though isn't with the colors you picked. but rather the trait you chose as they make the design seem quite cluttered. I'd suggest changing G2 to Sugar Plum Swirls as it pulls some color from the eyes and makes it look like shooting stars. I also felt like the wings took up so much of the design so I'd suggest changing it to Enchanted Butterflies or Lucky Dust (I know it's not galaxy but no one will notice really if it's yellow) I also noticed you had used Snowflake Runes as opposed to the Star Runes, which I found interesting and I wonder if you did that on purpose. Either way, the design looks, great! Good job!

Sea Guardian Nytekrie


Oh boy, don't get me started on this nightmare of a Sylesti. Between its overall unappealing design and its completely screwed and chaotic color slots, the Nytekrie is definitely my least favorite. They are so hard to create decent designs for as some of the genes take colors from weird places and the traits always seem to make it look like there is too much going on. Hopefully, things will be somewhat better after the revamp but one can only dream.

Since all submissions are in, I will be posting results early.

Reasons being that you either "A" edited your design when editing was not permitted, or "B" I failed to see that your design post did not meet all requirements and now it has been corrected.)

I want to thank you all for participating with in this mandatory challenge. I know that this was an relatively easy mandatory challenge, but it did prove to be more difficult/complicated for some to achieve. That is why I stress with each challenge do not skim the materials in the design post. If you do it will reflects in one's work. Hopefully going forward we all understand that and won't do that. But time will tell. As for this challenge, I really and truly loved what you all brought to the table, regardless if you were eligible or not. As a reward to everyone you have the next 2 weeks off from the group. We will reconvene back here on Dec. 1st!! I will be sure to send a group PING as a reminder to one and all the day before the next challenge. For now, please help me congratulate our Top 3....

I believe you brought together traits and genes I never thought could possibly work together, and made them marry well. I guess it is truly all about the color of what works best with what. WAY TO GO EVERYONE!!!

With in the previous post above this one of mine, you will notice that I have posted the TOP 3 early. That is because, all submissions are currently in. So why wait for the results if they can come early right?

Also, I know that this challenge though easy seemed difficult for a number of you. Over half to be exact. I cannot stress the importance of making sure to READ EVERYTHING in a design post. There is important information, and should not be skimmed. In skimming and or picking what you do and what you don't do by passing the other information shows you don't know how to follow direction and there for reflects in your work. And I hate that I was unable to make exceptions this go around for any of you, but a mandatory challenge has to be strick adding to the difficulty of said challenge. Not all challenges are that way, and I am sure you all know that. We won't have another Mandatory challenge for some time.

But because of ALL of your hard work, I am giving you the next 2 WEEKS off. Not only for the holiday, but because you deserve it. I will PING you on the last day of the month to remind you that the next challenge will be posted on Dec. 1st.

In the mean time, please use this group to display your works and ask for input from your fellow designers. That is part of what this group was made for!

I know I did a few posts back. And it is ok if you don't get a response, but it never hurts to ask what others think. Just don't be afraid to take that step.
