The night is cold and bleak, but the stars shine on overhead. If you want to be able to keep on moving tomorrow, you'll have to get some sleep now.

People give you a wide berth as you lug the crate up the hill. It's still heavy, but Brazentalon seems to be doing fine. You both make it up the hill and back to Roth's stall, and by the smile he greets you by you can safely assume you're on time.
"Good work!" he says. He eyes the food on top of the crate. "Did Callus give you a parting gift for me or something?"
You feel though that you could manage doing something like that again.

Striking it with the pick frightens the Yeti and doesn't appear to do much else. It bears with you though to try another method.
Prying it off is more successful. Cracks spread out from where you've stuck the pick in the lock and there's a snap as the whole thing falls apart, splashing into the river.
Delighted, the yeti rumbles happily. After watching your technique it sticks its claw in the lock of the cuff on its other arm. It doesn't quite manage it itself, but it gets the idea. You'll have to do the rest of them for it.

Well hes certainly not breaking a window.
He walks around nearby looking for a door or somethin
"You mean you don't want it," says one of the other dwarves. "Here, sit down and at the very least get yourself a bite to eat. None of us have touched the fruit buns yet."
Skywhisper hops down lightly, putting your stuff on the ground in the small storage area. He cautiously pads into the room a little ways, staying by you.
"Now I haven't seen a griffin in a mighty long time," the same dwarf chuckles. "Oh, where are our manners. I'm Grafdur, and this is my wife here, Deifra. And these three are our sons. One big caravanning family."
You already know Bramdur. "Torgdan," one speaks with a friendly smile.
"Agdan," the other says.
(Those moments when your brain just spews letters and you pretend it's name)
.
(Me every time I try to name one of my fantasy worlds)
I greet everyone amiably and introduce myself again. "I'm Phoenicia and this is the amazing Skywhisper." I give him a pat on the head.
The yeti looks from your gesture to the cuff, a look of wonder on its face at the idea you're proposing. It offers its hand forward eagerly, watching your every move intently.
I motion for its other hand and get to work prying off all of the other cuffs.

(What do you mean?)
High up on the wall there is a what looks like a thin window. No glass - it's just shuttered over from the inside. Nothing that can't be forced open or be tampered with by a little, contained fire.
It isn't big enough for Knight, but perhaps if you could get up there you would be able to slip through when the shutter was dealt with, of course.

(Where did you think I got Anaia from? xDD)
Skywhisper seems comfortable now, and physical contact helps that even more so. He holds reasonably still as the dwarves look at him in wonder.
"What's that under you?" Torgdan asks, pointing at the egg carrier. Skywhisper, words only understood by you, can't explain for himself so you'll have to for him.

You soon have a pile of all the bits of metal. The yeti even managed to get one of them off itself by watching you. So perhaps yeti were a bit slow at first, but through observation can pick up things.
Now it rubs at the raw spots where the cuffs used to stay, grinning happily. It watches you to see what you'll do next, evidently with no plans of its own.

(I mean, there's a book in which something is named Zzyx or something xD)
"Oh, that's a Griffin egg, we're waiting for it to hatch," I explain.
