So, Sav, we would call such a pet a "Restricted Crossbred Purebred Cool Night Sylvorpa"? And abbreviate it "rcPB Cool Night"? Or maybe "Restricted Nereid X Cool Night Crossbred" ("r Nereid x Cool Night")?
'Cause I think what is needed is a way to quickly state that "Except for the outcross(es) that gave it Restricted traits, this pet is a Purebred (Theme Name)."

I think something like that would work. I know it's a bit of a mouthful though.
What I was also thinking is why not bring up the idea of the crossbreeding for the limited traits into the general forum as a discussion? Because it'd be nice if everyone involved with other species might be on the same page regarding terminology.

Good point, Sav. The Luffox was the first to have Restricted traits. I wonder if the Luffox breeders have already worked out a system?
OK, now I simply MUST create Springtime Dragon Zolnixies!

I like the idea. Looks like I'll be planting those Vorpa seeds. Been collecting the Lilypad Vorpas.

Just a quickie (I'm too tired to make much sense), but I love the idea of the not-themed-restricted-themed. I had been thinking of adding it into my Water Snakes, but I wasn't sure anyone would be interested.

I also like the term "Restricted Crossbred XX" (where XX is the theme it represents). That said, it doesn't much matter what I want to call it since I probably won't do more than dabble (if that). I don't mind the idea of some traits being restricted to particular themes. I like it better, in fact, than the generator-only restricted trait thing. I guess I thought the Windchaser Luffox was a cool idea when it was introduced, and this seems like a continuation down that path. While I wholeheartedly agree that these new Nereid traits look great on other themes (and I want to see it happen), I probably won't be trying my hand at mixed theme projects any time soon. I will, however, be happy to track down and procure Ocean's Jewel offspring for their uniqueness.
Stay tuned, as I have some new pretties who have come of age, and I'd like to show them off! ^.^
