I love decorating for Halloween! I have a huge Halloween Village (Dept. 56)..... covers 4 tables! Anyways, my daughter and I would sit on the couch and make up stories about this Halloween Village. Some where pretty wacky! But I remember one we made up about our Black Cat Diner and it involved a Demon Cat! This Ryori is based on that Demon Cat from our story!

I decided to go with my Will-O-Wisp ryori I created for the themed contest. I really loved the design so I picked out my three favorite visables for it.

I'm sure you know what a Will-O-Wisp is, a little creature seemling made of fire that leads people astray in the dark and normally to doom, creepy for Halloween even though it has passed. and I had went with a coloring similar to the wIsps in Brave.

Burning Leaves Ryori



As the name says, this design is based both of the fallen leaves in autum and campfires. You need to keep yourself warm in autum, right?

Lucky Runes, Galaxy and Tempest Armor.

I decided to do my version of Chaos/Kronos.

My Ryori is based off a late night bonfire. Every fall when I was younger, my family would spend the majority of the day raking leaves into a large pile. Then as the sun started to set we would burn them and cook hotdogs and roast marshmallows for hours. When the fire was at its peak and the sky was completely dark, it was time to watch the little embers that floated away from the fire dance in the night sky. It's actually one of the fondest memories I have for the fall time :)

I used a day of the dead kind of design but replaced the traditional colors with my favorite colors ^_^ very Halloween themed in my opinion.

A while ago I had an idea for a Ryori design based on Sweeney Todd where The Cyberpunk Wings would be his silver razors stained with the blood of his victims. I simply added the Tempest Armor because the lightning looks like little veins and the Star Runes because they look pretty.

Autumn Frost

Based off a clear, starry night.

I struggled to find a third vis that didn't cover or distract from the two traits I really wanted to be highlighted in this Ryori, though a six-vis would look lovely as well. The visible traits are: Nebula, Galaxy, and Mystic Horns (?).

Part of the inspiration came from the Star Gazer Nephini, which I admire but have not had the luck of winning this festival. And then I wondered what the colors would look like on a Ryori. And then I edited and switched the colors so they'd complement each other better on the Ryori genes/mutations.
