@SilverKiri,
Items that you had duplicates of were sent to your inventory. Trying to use them will provide that error because you already have a set of that item already in your wardrobe (and already unlocked).
As for all the "it's so unfair" comments in regards to now-locked styles, I think it's pretty unfair to throw a fit about it. Previous to the wardrobe upgrade, Krin and Fai gave us A LOT of options. That we had to do nothing for. Over half of the hair was available between the different lengths, half the eyes, a good section of the mouths, and we got spoiled. After everything Krin and Fai do to make this site amazing, you're gonna gripe about now having to work for something you had before that you can literally make back before the end of the day just because you "had it before?"
Come on. Stop and think about all the things you've been given on this site, all the things Fai and Krin have done, the things you've gotten, the things you've had says in, and all the rewards that have been made available just because.

@Shadowphyr
Thank you for that.
But I find it a little unfair for you to assume we're all "throwing a fit." You may have noticed that I said "but it doesn't really matter." Yes, I'm a little upset that I now am forced to work for something that my avatar previously had, but I also think it's up to Fai and Krin about what to do with the site; and if that's what they want to do, so be it. I haven't been around long enough to reap the benefits of everything they've done, so I can't really say much about that, but you really didn't have to respond rudely. Not everyone knows (or will be able to) make up the AP as quickly as you say though it does seem to be really simple.

@SilverKiri,
I don't think Shads is being rude or her comments are directed to you Kiri. OuO
I think some of the replies about this matter is bit tense, because some players are genuinely unhappy (some can be viewed as harsh perhaps) about it, but some are like 'meh it's cool', and some are like you, like 'Noooo, but it's okay!' OuO
And you know when too many negative things are circulating, things got a bit tense, but all means well I'm sure. :3

Let's keep the "omg worship them for creating this site" out of it please, I'm grateful for Krin and Fai and everything they've done but I certainly am NOT required to like every change they make. I'm a customer. I'm entitled to my own complaints and opinions. I don't OWE them anything. As for being able to earn back the points I need by the end of the day -- I need several thousand just to get close to my old appearance. That's over a thousand battles. I have, to date, less than 3k battles total. THAT complaint is justified.
My own personal issue isn't the fact styles were locked -- that move makes SENSE -- it's the fact all of the styles I used previously were locked. It doesn't feel like "just a few" when I had to remake my character after having been 100% happy with it with or without a wardrobe upgrade. So please don't patronize those of us who are now having to do all kinds of work just to revert our avatars back to normal. I don't see anyone ragequitting over this, just expressing the fact it's irritating. e_e

That's true, but what I find odd is, it's about an avatar update. This site is a breeding MMORPG, not a dress-up game, that's why I find some of the complaints are weird. :/
If the update is more towards a major change in the breeding or game mechanics and it's not on our favor, things like all essences must be paid with diamonds or something, I'll be angry for sure, but this isn't even something that interrupt your main gaming experiences... It's a side aspect of the game.

You also have to keep in mind too that this is Sylestia BETA.
It's highly unlikely that everything is going to stay the same, and the site isn't official yet. So once it is the official polished up nice released version, everyone will be starting the 'same.'
What we are playing now is an incomplete version where we, the users, are testers. We test the features old AND new and find the bugs, so when the shiny complete version comes out there are little to no glitches and everything runs smoothly.
The fact that this is an open beta makes us forget that I think.

I wasn't even really angry until people went and insinuated I was out of line for being annoyed. :/ I said from the beginning that, oh well, it's a thing that happened, I'll grind the points back eventually. It's a temporary annoyance, not a gamebreaker. lol
And yeah it's definitely true that we sometimes forget this game is still beta. Lots of things are going to change as Krin and Fai find out what works and what needs improvement. Maybe people will get pissy about those changes too, but whatever haha. If this site is gonna grow then its development needs to continue, of course! I've had the privilege of getting to watch several pet sites take their first steps out of baby-betadom into full-fledged site mode, and I think it's REALLY cool to get to watch that progression happen. It can be frustrating on the player end though, having to deal with changes that impact your current gameplay, but it's worth it in the end imo.

1) I wasn't singling out any specific person in my comment.
2) Not everyone is going to like every change. Not liking something is fine. Flat out stating that it's "not fair," however, is a different story. Just like users don't owe the admins or the site anything, the admins don't owe you anything either. The only thing the admins need to do is provide a smoothly running site (and even that is something some sites don't even bother to care about, but that, in turn, costs them a big player base). If they wanted, they could make us pay for everything we wanted, including colors outside of the "norm." If they really wanted, Krin and Fai could make default, solid colors and force you to pay for everything else. They don't owe us any options, yet we get some anyway. Just because they're not the "ones you had before" or the "ones you wanted" doesn't mean they're suddenly being unfair.
On top of still being in beta, this site is also a business. This is Fai and Krin's only job. It's their only source of income. Some changes had to be made. If you absolutely cannot find yourself earning up the "thousands of AP" to regain some of the features you lost, then drop the Diamonds to purchase them. They really don't cost that much. (Honestly, the hair options are the only things that cost quite a bit, most everything else range between 10-20 Diamonds. 50 is the most you pay for any one thing if you go the Diamonds route.)
