I like Mirajal; it's referential without being just a corruption of weasel/otter/ferret, which is something Sylestia has been pretty good about avoiding so far.

Also it's kind of a flowy name that suits a kind of flowy pet. OR SOMETHING.

I was wondering if you got two packets with the new theme pet if they would be different genders, but the same genes and coloration. Or are they completely random or our choice on the genders and genes.

I would hate buying two and then can't breed them or control at least one gene and the gender. Because ut would probably be extremely hard to find someone else with the right gender and genes.

It would be random. Random gender with random traits. The only thing guaranteed is that it will have 2 visible traits.

We feel doing pets this way helps to promote Sylestia's community and pet economy. Players have to interact with others to trade pets, set up breeding fees, etc. We think it's a core requirement to a successful pet sim environment.

I think it'd be a bit overpowered if you could choose the gender and traits, or even one or the other. However, we do have a lot of tools now in the game where you can change or customize your pets if it's not exactly as you like.

Remember, these will be Themed pets, so the trait disruption philter will be usable on them if you have any. And those will be made available again at some point if you don't and want more. You can also swap genders as long as the pet hasn't bred yet.

Different subject: I didn't think I'd like the new armor at first, but then I realized just what makes it so different. It isn't decorative. That armor is ARMOR. Kewl!
