Ember hissed in pain as dark red blood dripped from her flank. She hissed quietly. She yowled and rammed into Snake, catapulted over him, and darted in again.

Snake hit a column. He struggled to get up. Sage sent magic at him. It wasn't strong but it hit him with force.

She glared at him and picked the lock on Sage's chains, and gave her more of the weird sweet smelling stuff. "Run."

Sage collapsed far from the castle. Somehow Snake's poison was different. It worked on slowing the victim rather than killing it. She closed her eyes.
