This is my first event, I just started playing and was really excited. But I've played for hours since the event started and I only got one encounter.
As I can't stay on the computer for hours nonstop it would be interesting to know if the breaks between plays (sometimes 30 minutes or up to 2 hours) are somehow resetting the counter?
After encountering the first pyro yesterday morning a played until late evening and started counting the battles somewhen around then. I'm now at 520 battles since I started counting, and there must be quite some more from yesterday morning to evening. So that seems a bit odd since the chance was increased?

Lucky At least you encountered one i haven't encounter one at all since the festival started.
On the first day it started I stayed on for a good 6 to 8 hours and had no encounters the second day I stay on for a good 5 hours I don't even think there is even a festival going on anymore.
so I am in the process of just giving up and just waiting on the big festival.... might have to see if people are selling at a low price cause I got the feeling that i wont get anything this festival

I went ahead and increased the base encounter rate for the Maniacal Pyromancer and then also adjusted it so for everyone's first attempt at an encounter of the named, they will start at the max bonus.
Since I couldn't really differentiate for already existing bonuses, I also just maxed everyone's current encounter bonus.
This will probably be the last change I make as I think it should be pretty good at this point.
