"Ack." Aris rubbed her head with one of her tendrils. "Well, it's good that you can detect it." She stood close to Atropos, but not too close to get clobbered by her ryori orbs. "Yeah, we'll high-tail it out of here when we can. You can always make a new basket anyway." She observed around again, looking for plants, herbs, and other objects of interest.

The water tasted sweet almost like fruit

Two soft glowing blue Orbs emerged from the under brush ad walked into the moon light.
the creature was a bit bigger than you, and though it had a dark Aura it seems non threatening

"Hello," Atropos dipped her head to the animal. "We are just exploring this place and mean no harm of this forest is yours. We have no memory of how and why we are on this island, but please forgive us if we've intruded."

'Huh, couldn't have said it better myself.' Aris bowed her head towards the dark canine creature as well.

The creature cooed before speaking slightly " home.... want to go home.... Mother is waiting " it was creepy sounding, but she seemed genuinely sad

"Your mother? Can we help in any way?" Atropos looked at Aris for suggestions.

"Hmm." Aris nearly forgot about the concept of home, as she and Atropos were more focused on surviving on the island than trying to get back to "home", or even if they had one before. "Well, where's your mother?" she asked the creature. "If your mother's somewhere on the island, we can try and get you to her." It would be easy if the creature was native to the island. But in the chance that she wasn't, then Aris would be just as clueless.

"home... mother... left to touch the sky..... gone for ages..... mother not home... " it babbled sadly
