Numbat nods. "Firewood wouldn't go amiss, but would take a while to collect and would be heavy. Animal pelts would probably be the second best thing - in winter, you always want something to keep you warm. Even if you're a dwarf."

(You can choose, I don't especially mind c:)
There are a variety to choose from, but three stand out to you - one selling beautiful ornaments and delicate sculptures that could only have come from the skilled artisans of Elvenor. Another has winter gear and heavy-duty tools as well as runestones with intricate carvings individual to the stonemasons of the northern territories. The third has what looks like pelts from various animals, and something you don't see every day: dragon scales.
Vendors from as many different territories as you'd be able to find in the one place. It just depends who you want to interrogate first, or if you'd rather find one who is well-travelled in the central territories alone.
Numbat nods. "Firewood wouldn't go amiss, but would take a while to collect and would be heavy. Animal pelts would probably be the second best thing - in winter, you always want something to keep you warm. Even if you're a dwarf."
"Okay then let's get hunting," Asteria says, "and trapping. Crimson are you and Emperpaw willing to go hunt? Blazetalon and Sunfeather see what you can find and hunt and please them back to us and I can try and skin the animals. Shootingstar are you willing to stay with us?"

Meriah walk closer as she analyzes the three vendors, checking to see if any of them seem older or inclined towards storytelling.
"I never said we had to," he says defensively. "Just a powerful enchant-y sword seems like a good thing to have."
He crouches down as you precariously step on his head. Shaking with the effort, he raises you up to the window shutters.
You can't hear any patrols anywhere near, or see their torchlight.
(Oof it didnt give through?)
He does whatever he needs to do to get the window opening wihout a large bang.

(Sorry?)
With a little contained fire, you burn away the hinges while holding onto the shutters as best you can. They come away in your hands silently.
Inside the warehouse a small oil lamp dimly illuminates the space inside. The warehouse is sectioned into ordered storage spaces, each with a sign in front identifying their numbers. Time to find the sword... and perhaps anything else you might happen stumble across. You'll leaving in an hour or so, no-one will notice by then.
From here you can see the one you're looking for - stall XIV. You can get down to the floor by climbing down a rope ladder. Thankfully there's no-one inside. Below you are sacks of grains which you could drop the broken shutters onto before climbing down and getting what you need.

Numbat fidgets with a clasp on his pack. "Shouldn't we travel until the afternoon? I mean, if we camp again in this exact area then we'll be going into the settlement at night by the time we make it there. All the shops will be closed. Plus I've already trapped things here, so we'll catch less today."
The two phoenix flutter onto nearby branches, waiting for the final decision to be made. The pups hesitate and Shootingstar looks excited at the prospect of keeping on getting closer.

(I've just left it at family clan for now, you happy with the setup I've stuck in?)
The first from the east looks young. She has lots of fine jewellery that matches the theme of the wares she has collected. She chats to a customer with a smile on her face, her ears perked up. Not old, or a storyteller, but someone who seems to pick up a thing or two.
The second is a lot older. His antlers are cracked and weathered and he sits at his counter. But his eyes are sharp as he examines the crowd around him, including you. He sees you analysing and nods politely. If he's been to the north and possibly into Vanguard itself, then he has to have seen a lot. But if he's been trading with dwarves he might not have picked up as much from them.
The third from the west is scarred and calloused. His ram horns are chipped and scratched, and one is partially broken off. You watch as he haggles with a customer, quickly losing his temper. But quickly he smiles as the exchange is made in his favour, the customer hastily trotting away. This vendor is unlikely to have met many people, but is one of the very few who have been to the western territories. The vibrant dragon scales betrays it as one from the cliffs of the west, and some of the various pelts could only have come from there, too.

(Ah, right. No worries, you don't have to do quotes if you aren't able to c:)
The shutters drop down and land on the grains quietly.
Clambering down the rope ladder is easy, and soon you are over by the warehouse section you were looking for. It's filled with crates that are filled with the enchanted weapons you were looking for. Shortswords and axes, pale as ivory and covered in runes.
Now you just need to decide how many you can afford to take. And if there's any other supplies in here you might want to have a quick look around for. This whole warehouse appears to be allocated to exotic goods, perhaps you could find some hair dye around.
As long as Balthur doesn't find out you went somewhere you perhaps weren't meant to be, you should be fine.
