so I'll do an update.
I played a Cavetown song for two hours straight and now my fingers are bruised :'D. at least I can play 'This Is Home' decently! (I play Uke)
I'm trying to keep writing my fanfiction but I'm stuck because I want to go back and change the entire first quarter but I need to finish the other half :[. (I guess I could show the google doc but it's currently not spell checked yet. also 103 pages long.)
my art is in a weird stage where I'm messing with art style so it looks worse and better at the same time. I'm just going to keep messing with it until it works.
My favorite game, Journey, turned 8 last week. I had fun playing it since people were actually online :D.
my art tablet is turning four this year. I might throw it a party if everyone is still in lockdown by the time it rolls around.
Leopard Geckos are wonderful.

Feathers? Well feathers are usually longer than you think (otherwise its downy and doesn't even count). Sometimes they have a little curve at the point, the base at the end of the feather...uhhh the writing end (idk like the old days) that end, the feather stops very suddenly, its round there..if that makes sense. Add some notches for a more realistic feather, and add those lines so you can tell its a feather and not a leaf. You know cause feathers are made up of a bunch of little string-like things, and leaves have veins?

Ooo I have an uke a soprano I think, last thing I learned on it was a lick of "Sandman" and I figured out how to do harmonics on the 12th fret...I think twelve? seven? one of those, I can't do it anywhere else >.> (love Cavetown btw, my favorite song is Talk to Me.)

I click out of youtube and go right back on because I like need something to watch. I can't remember the last time I had just one tab or window open... I like to share really odd facts with people I meet online because if they're going to judge me or be mean I can block them and I can't actually hear their voice or see their face, can't exactly do that irl.

I can't actually see the picture but I bet it's really cool ^-^

Gauges are awesome, I think if you decide you don't want them anymore you have to get plastic surgery to get rid of the hole but people who wear them are like 200% cooler.
Ya know what looks really cool with piercings? Tattoos. I want a few small ones on my wrist and ankle. Pretty basic spots but I'm a pretty basic person

oof I can relate to the drawing one. I was just getting a style and then I watched a journalling video on youtube and saw their art style. Now I can't stop drawing people like them >,<

and forget hands, I just draw circles lol

Thank you for the advice! They look like leaves sometimes because I draw them too wide. I often have to redraw feathers. I have this Griffin named Boreal I draw a bunch. She has way too many feathers qwq

My very unprofessional explanation

Feathers tend to curve one side or the other, while leaves are typically straight. The tip of the feather is generally somewhat round, most leaves end in a sharper, more defined point.
If you're drawing a lot of feathers at once (like on a wing or something, not just a lone feather), it's best not to make the barbs visible unless you want it to be really really detailed. Plus, it's a pain in the but.
The shaft, on the other hand, feel free to leave in but don't make it too obvious. Less of a pain in the butt, but still a pain in the butt.
