Soon Knight is harnessed to the cart. Balthur chooses to go on foot, explaining that he'd best get some exercise before he got soft.
"Back to pulling a cart again. Man, I hope I don't get frozen again," he mutters.
"Off we go to the western territories then!" Balthur declares, his hooves clopping against the cobbles. "The sooner we start, the sooner we get there."

(Well, more experience than me in any case :P)
"Tired. But as we get bigger we're gonna be a lot better," she grinned. Emberpaw yipped. "He says it's okay, he was hungry anyway. He's always hungry." She rolled her eyes. He yipped a protest, but she just kept on grinning.

The yeti looks at you before surprising you with a nod. It carries on scrubbing at its matter fur.
You didn't see any obvious caves or shelters the way you came from, so perhaps going downriver would be the best idea. You trot along, sticking to the river and assessing the formations you come across.
After a while as you feel the air getting distinctly nippier you see a dark spot in the hill. On closer inspection you see that the grass grows slightly over a hole in the rise. You can't see how far back it goes, but it looks dry.
"Tired. But as we get bigger we're gonna be a lot better," she grinned. Emberpaw yipped. "He says it's okay, he was hungry anyway. He's always hungry." She rolled her eyes. He yipped a protest, but she just kept on grinning.
Asteria quickly takes the creatures that Emberpaw and Crimson hunted and skinned them then gave the creatures to the hellhound puppies.
As you touch it, pins and needles jump up your arm and you feel a new, indescribable awareness. As you draw your hand back, both sensations leave you and you almost feel claustrophobic.
"Yeah, definitely magic," I say to myself. "I think we should show it to someone else who knows more about magical objects and enchantments." I use the small pick and put it through the ring's band and try to carefully carry it and put it in my pack.
"When I touched it, my arm had pins and needles and I felt some sort of awareness? But when I stopped touching it, it made me feel like I'm on the brink of claustrophobia and the other effects the ring had left. I think it might have been hidden in the stump because of its side effects. Anyways we should keep going, the claustrophobia will probably stop later." I say and begin walking through the forest again.
(Too much words, ack)

Knight starts off in the direction of the western gate, calling to you over his shoulder: "Come on then! Don't want to get left behind in this city right now."
Balthur waves to some of the guards that he must have talked to before, and they wave back.
Now you've got a change to think straight after the warehouse escapade, you're sure that you can evade the notice of others more easily next time.

Now that you've got into the rythm of skinning animals, the hare is easier to deal with than the other two critters you did earlier.

"Right then," Numbat says, getting up. "About time we see if you're a talented trapper to be, eh?"

(With me as your narrarator there are never too many words. The more the better, so don't worry about it c: It also means you have more control over your character. If I'm feeling mean and you give me a sentence then I might make something happen that you don't want >:D)
"Weird," Brazentalon murmurs. "As long as they do fade away. If they don't, please try not to touch it again."
As you take the ring from the stump to put it on your pick the same feelings come back to you. For no more than a second, you feel a mental tug to go in a certain direction, but you put it on the shaft of your pick before you can even begin to understand where.
The pick and its ring slide into your pack easily, and you can't feel the pins and needles without being in direct contact with the ring, it seems.
"Wait, look!" the griffin suddenly exclaims. As you watch, the stump that had once held the ring begins to fold in on itself. It finally crumples to the ground silently, the only sign that it was ever there being a dark patch on the ground. Soon, fallen leaves and the shrubbery of the forest will cover that, too.
