I don't know about everyone else, but I grew up in 2 houses, and I was VERY fortunate enough to have both houses grow raspberries and blackberries in the backyard. They always provided a good snack for my brother and I, if we could brave their thorns. And poison ivy/oak/sumac in some. He got those for us since I was allergic to the stuff.
The berries stained our hands pretty darned well, too. Sometimes I fed them to our chickens- or to the chickens I liked because I played favorites.
BUT ANYWAY. They will represent my submission? Mainly the raspberry one, but I'll have links to the blackberry as well.

Summer Dusk



Based on the last few nights, when it's starting to get dark and the sky is dark and full of clouds, threatening a storm but not yet raining, but the world seems to be tinged a bit orange as well. It's an interesting quality of light, and is extremely calming to me.

This is based off of sitting in the fields, watching the night sky appear.

I wanted to roast a perfect marshmallow over the campfire, but I ended up burning it in a few places, as this particularly mallow-like lighira shows on his tail. He shows Deinonychus (twice) and magma runes.

Blazing Heat Lighira

He is based off of the heat of summer.

I bet there are other entries with similar themes but when I saw the new Bengal Fade gene the first thought I had was the play of light and shadows in the ripples of water. Thus, my tropical beach Lighira was created. She represents the crystal-clear ocean, the white sand and the colorful clothing of tourists.
