The female's neck still looks extremely disproportionate to me. Everything else looks good.

My qualm was addressed with the edit and I like the female's body better with the fullness. ^_^
But I have to say, after someone mentioned fenghuang, I looked it up and looking at the Aurleon through fenghuang eyes, everything has suddenly just fallen into place. O_O Everything that felt slightly off (I didn't mention most of them because they didn't bother me enough to fuss over and they certainly weren't deal-breakers for me) now look right to me and make perfect sense. So now I have no qualms and am at perfect peace with the Aurleon in all of its stages. *zens out and basks in this newfound peace*
Edit: I forgot to mention that I did like the idea someone mentioned about having the egg in a pile of ashes all phoenexy... ^_^ But of course, it's not necessary for me if you don't want to do it or don't like it. n_n

I still have a problem with the female's neck. Thanks to my husband (Snake) on figuring out what it was. I have posted the portion that we feel is still highly awkward. Hope this gets added to the additional edits so the neck looks less like a snake.
Can that part where the neck attaches be smoothed out or eased in? It looks overly curved inward to the body.

I completely agree with Ari, the neck throws me off BIG time. I like how the edits create for fluff and muscle, but the neck looks pasted on.

I'm agreeing on everyone with the neck, but it's still not a deal breaker. I think they look over all good, regardless.
I felt like that the first time aurleons were getting revamped. When you get attached to a pet it can be difficult seeing it changed. I do understand why the the originals were revamped though. What you might want to do is save images of all your aurleons before the change. That way you can always kinda keep them how they were in a way. When we get pet profiles I've been thinking of having in them images of how pets looked like before if they've been revamped.
Personally, I'm looking really forward to the revamp even if there's a few current edit changes I'm not sure of. It's both really gorgeous and there's something to it that harkens back to the originals.
I've had some time to think about the new edit changes. I didn't notice at first the change to the female's right wing. I really like the change with it. I still personally prefer the original necks and chests particularly with the female, but maybe it's the spot of the neck I mentioned before connecting that's throwing me off? I'm happy with the overall design still regardless though.
Edit: I just noticed that maybe with the change to the male's upraised foot if the bottom of the middle toe is a bit too round? I might just not be looking at it right.
I'm excited to see what these aurleons in particular will look like when everything's done. They're favorites that I still have images of from before the first revamp. I don't think any of these have had their colors changed, either.
I really like this revamp but hey as a throw back we should bring back the originals. Just because they look awesome. and younger if that makes sense.

I looked up fenghuang after reading your post and I have to say... THAT'S IT! I am now at peace, too. It looks right on! :)
I can't wait for the revamp, now. ^_^
For those who wonder, here's a fenghuang:

I completely agree with AriDae. I'm not quite sure I'm going to be keeping my Aurleons anymore, as I much prefer the past design.
