I'm usually really terrible at coming up with names for theme designs and there's four this time I can't decide on a name for at all and was wondering if anyone might have some suggestions. I'll put what I had in mind when making them down at the bottom.

















Draeyl - I wanted to do a monster. I think the end result looks maybe something like a red goblin, imp, or devil. Something like that but it ended up kinda vague feeling?

Nephini - A ghost. But it ended up more green than blue. But it felt better greenish to me. I think it still looks like something spirit like but I'm not quite sure what to call it since it didn't quite end up like I intended.

Nytekrie - It's supposed to be magic or sorcery looking. It's kinda revamped from the aurleons I entered last year. They were called Spellsong but the name just no longer quite fits for the nytekrie.

Zolnixi - Also from a modified design from last year. The ones last year were griffies called Golden Harvest. But the name doesn't feel quite right for these.

sorry if these aren't accurate, maybe you could explain what you had in mind while designing o:

-I'm not quite seeing a monster, it might just be that cream on the belly though. If it were darker I'd call it Night Terror.

-Black Magic Nytekrie; Witchcraft Nytekrie

That's a good idea. I think I'll put what I had in mind below the images though so people won't go in with an opinion already of what to think.

I like Black Magic for Nytekrie. They are supposed to be magic themed.

I personally prefer the original. I'd like to know the rationale for changing colour 1 from those who suggested it because I think it works quite well, even as a 6 visible:

@fox- ^-^ thanks! i'll most likely keep it that way, maybe make m1 and m2 darker. if i remember it just looked weird to some, and others thought it would look better if it had more "leaf colors".

Red Devil Draeyl, or Devilish Draeyl

Voodoo Nytekrie, or Witch Doctor Nytekrie. For some reason (probably the female's Tribal Armor) that's the first thing that came to mind.

Spectral Nephini, or Lost Soul Nephini (Maybe Restless Soul or Wandering Spirit Nephini)

Harvest Guardian Zolnixi, or Harvest Spirit Zolnixi (Harvest Sprite Zolnixi also sounds pretty nice)

Have to say for the theme name, I think the second one is closer to 'realistic' colors.

But for general appearance, I like the first one the best. (Nature Runes looks incredible!)


Really it depends on which you find more important. Personally, I place a higher priority on the general appearance. Using the Blue Lotus Aeridini as a prime example, it was actually based on a purple lotus; I guess "blue" sounded better since I didn't exactly specify what type of Lotus is was.

Fire And Ice Morkko

Mh, well, the draeyl look leafy to us, more than they do monsters. Leaf Lurker Draeyl? Fall Demon?
And the nephini look... very underwatery to us... Drowned Spirit? Not a ghost, but Ahuizotl may be worth a glance for naming... (for some reason Ahuizotl's description kind of reminds us of nephini)
Nytes... Spellcrafter? Spellweaver?
Zolnixi... Harvest's End? Final Harvest?



Just thinking, we have never been sure about our Morkko design (mostly because. Morkko.)
Anyone have any opinions about which they like best here?
