Is it possible to get a pet with three visible traits using any essence?

Nope that's not possible.

These are the essences available to players:
regular essence gives 1 vis (with possible colour swing)
enhanced essence gives 2 vis (with possible colour swing)
mythical essence gives 2 vis (with very little colour swing)

So you'll have to do some breeding if you want pets with more than 2 visible traits

So someone told me that I'd need a lot of recolors to accomplish a project, and to be honest I have no idea how the recolors work in this game so my question is this.

How do you assure that an offspring's color matches the design within a certain forgivable error range?
Can I just breed the traits without any attention to the parents' colors and then just apply color changes to the finalized project?

I've never used recolors or bred a pet, so I don't know how the color swings work, or how to get the smallest percent error.

I would complete your project, not paying any attention to the colours. Once you have the pets you want and the visible traits (AKA you're not breeding anymore, it's complete) then I would apply pet dyes.

I personally don't care whether the dye is lesser or greater. Greater dyes are more accurate but lesser is cheaper and more accessible (1000 scales gets you 1 lesser dye). It's up to you but for me I opt for lesser dyes.

I've gotten a donation of lesser pet dye, so that'll have to do xD

And thank you!

Hey, back with another question!

Okay, with the recent site bugs- I've been thinking...
Do un-revealed carried traits still pass on to offspring?
It's more out of curiosity than any practical reasons.

Thank ya!
Won't waste any time getting her tested then. Hopefully this matter will resolve itself in time xD
