Is there a way to turn off the chat?

If not, should I put it in suggestions or would it be considered from here?

(Everyone's been very nice and it's not that I want to avoid anyone, just sometimes I get overwhelmed by life in general, heh)

Ohh, PS! I'm really growing to enjoy seeing my avatar move around the field inside all the graphics of bushes and fields and mushroom houses and such! I think it was a great idea to have an event and the demo zone coincide as I know personally I'm feeling a lot of excitement right now not just about event things themselves but about being in the demo zone to try to find the special drops.

I was just chating it up in the new zone chat box and...some points were brought up.
this new system is greate and all, but there was a lot in the old system that I and a few others were wondering how you were gonna incorporate in the new system, like:
finding egglings/hatchlings
raids
the dungeon's puzzles and such.

someone said the hatchling/eggling thing could be a random find like the pets and marauders. and if you got the eggling/hatchling it would work like defeating/catching a normal pet and you just keep going.

im a bit curious as to how much of the old system we won't see in this new one...

also, this has nothing to do with that, but when I scroll up the chat it takes me right back down before I can even read what I was trying to find. I under stand that if the chat updated, but it does it for no reason.

@Hdawg,

Many things are still missing from the new system. I am actually working on nodes right now. Nodes will be things like crates, chests, egglings, and eventually gathering nodes. So they will be available soon.

For dungeon puzzles, they will still exist.

And for the dynamic events, we're still working on ideas to implement them. So at some point, they too will also be available. But I can't say how it will work just yet.


For the chat issue, every 5 seconds the script updates your chat box and then scrolls to the bottom. I will try to edit the script to be smarter so it only scrolls down if it's already at the bottom (aka, you aren't looking at older messages).

i wonder if it'll be made so u can re-read certain facts, I know sometimes while dungeoning I'll tired just look at the screen and just keep clicking away only to realize shortly after i click away an important fact, that it had info to a puzzle on it. -then feels stupid- XD

Yes!
I do that all the time. And then I feel so dumb. Like, I'll be totally in battle mode, and then just be all, "Oh. Wait. That was a screen with statues... I needed to read that and get the number. Nuts!" Because I'll get onto autopilot and just think its an 'do you look at the mysterious thing' page where you just end up getting attacked. So if we could go back one page somehow, that would be awesome.

Okay, I was fighting one of the 'named' and she critted me twice on the same turn.. are they supposed to be able to hit you twice?

@Kittencannonz,

If one of your pets has an enemy taunted and that enemy uses an attack that can hit more than 1 of your pets, all hits will deal damage to the pet that taunted. That's kind of the point of taunting - to absorb as much damage as possible and keep your other pets from taking damage.

@Site_Users,

I have some good news and some bad news.

The good news is that we are working on getting Sweet Blossom Orchard (the first zone of the 3rd region) ready to be released next weekend. The zone will include one (maybe two) new species, a storyline to follow, some named to farm and some avatar items to collect.

And most importantly for us, it will give you guys a real demonstration of how the new exploration system will work in its entirety.


The bad news is that I will have to disable the demo zone in about an hour (12 server). While the avatar items currently available will become available again when Sweet Blossom Orchard releases, the demo zone will have to be permanently disabled. I have to make some changes and atm the demo zone relies on the orchard's zone map.
