This leaderboards' round time schedule was, hate to say, but horrible. The starting from Saturday noon was, okay, I can live with this, I suppose, but the ending at a weekday noon is just a big no. I was in school, so I could not do any last minute nurturing nor battling like crazy. The last hour plays a really big role in the leaderboards. I honestly prefer the start and end at midnight much more than noon schedule.

The final round of Leaderboard Contests will start Sunday, 9/17, at 12pm and run through Thursday, 9/21 (meaning, it will end at 11:59pm on 9/21).
Additionally, all rewards for Round 2 should now have been handed out.
We have also tweaked the frequency and drops for Sand Sculpting Agents from the Beach Treasure Seeking feature for all tools. Players should be able to collect a noticeably higher amount from this feature.
Look for Eggling Auction and Pick a Door games this weekend!

Theafy, though I understand your frustrations keep in mind though that not everyone has the same time zone as you. So it's great for not american folks to also have chances to be online on crucial competition moments instead of having to sleep trough them.
It's great when leaderboards have different starting and ending times every time so that almost everyone has a fair chance of doing well at least in one leaderboard.
I'm not active myself in the competitions this time around, but I do know from experiences in former festivals that when your from europe, You often miss out on some forum games. Like most pick a door games for example. The timing allows you to pick door 1, maybe door 2 if your up long enough, but often by the time door 3 etc starts your in bed already. (Not always, but often) It's also more commen to get stuck with unfavorable times for live competitions and such. It's a pity, but understandable considering this is not a game from europe in a european time zone.
With my time zone this game's noon is by far more workable then the game's midnight though. When it's 12 pm with you guys, it's 7 pm for me.
Which means if you had a contest from 12 pm to 12 am, That would go from 7 pm to 7 am. Obviously I would be forced to sleep a big chunk of that time.
The noon time table allows more people from all over the world to compete fairly, while the midday midnight time table pretty much rules out everyone from europe.
Now I'm not saying noon should be used every time. But it is really great when it does happen sometimes. Makes us non US folks feel welcomed and not forgotten as fellow players. :)

Poor us players who live on the other side of the world and therefore will have a purely weekday battle round :'( Sunday at 12nn means Monday 1am for me, and Thursday 1159pm is Friday 1259am. Half the battle boards round will be difficult for me without even having a weekend day to catch up :(

I mean, lol, there's only so much I can do. =\
No matter which way they're set up, a portion of players will have difficulties with the schedule.
When it's back to back to back Sun-Sat, then there's not enough time off.
So I tried to shorten them to 5 days and incorporate different days of the week for those who work during the week, for those who work during weekends, etc, etc.
I then also tried switching up the times as everyone players on different hourly schedules.
All in all, I tried to create 3 flexible rounds of contests so players could have a chance at finding the one that best suits them.
I guess I'll post a poll before the Fall Festival and see which time schedule is most desired.

I do think switching up the times was probably the best idea. Yeah, it was painful starting midnight the first time but I know it worked out for others and I didn't have to do it this last time and I won't next time. Indeed it's always going to be a bit troublesome for someone though.
A poll is probably a great idea. We can see what works for the most players and I'd say maybe throw in one leaderboard schedule with maybe the second most voted for. I personally like this schedule coming up where it starts at noon and ends on midnight site time.
There's something else I'd like to ask about. I found out the other day that if you want to plant a pet in a paid for spot instead of a free spot that it'll go to the free spot regardless. The reason why I wanted to put it in a paid for spot is that I'm having to go very slow with my own pets because I'd like to get more sirens tears for them and so I plan to just leave them in their spots until I can maybe do something for them, but at the same time I was wanting to free rent spots for pets that I wouldn't have otherwise for the title. Obviously the ones that are being rented for other people will be claimed faster which would clear up the free spots making them available to use again sooner.
I understand if it's not possible with the coding but I figured I'd ask to see if it can be coded where a pet is planted in the spot you pick for it and not automatically in one of the free spots.
The shortage of siren tears also makes me want to beg for at least one more week for the festival even though I know it's already about a month long. I feel like one more week and I can accomplish so much more.
