The Haunted House (and its counterparts in other Festivals) are meant to be expensive because there is chance at some amazing prizes that they want to keep valuable. :)

Both the Diamond price and Gold price were reduced from last year. The Chocolate Coin price was slightly increased, but Chocolate Coins are way more common and much easier to get than previous Fall Festivals - so it's still a net "gain".

The feature offers a lot of very good prizes, all of which are available regardless of your play. If the entry fee was cheaper as you suggested, it would either be very unbalanced or I'd have to make prizes much more rare... making the game not fun at all.

Obtaining 750 Chocolate Coins really isn't that hard to do, especially with the length of this Festival.

Costing 500,000 Gold makes it a very good Gold sink for players with millions and millions of Gold.

And costing 250 Diamonds helps the site to make some income and to offset the Diamond Shop prizes that are awarded. In my test runs, I had multiple games where I spent 250 Diamonds and received 600+ Diamonds on Diamond Shop items plus Chocolate Coins, Brewing Supplies, etc.

ok I was not here last year and I am not one of the players will milons of gold but ok I will try to earn up that much gold coins

@Krin, I just went to the Haunted House to eyeball the prizes and that dark swirly image is awesome (and mesmerizing)! @_@ I was wondering if I might be allowed to put it as my computer background and maybe use it as a background in some of my Sylesti art... D_D (Of course not claiming it as my own anywhere...) If I would be allowed, is there somewhere I can save it from without having to screenshot it with the lines? xD If I would not be allowed, I will respect that and just go to the Haunted House and stare at it excessively. xD

And you can use artwork for personal purposes (even beyond Sylestia... like I could set my desktop to Mickey Mouse if I wanted to without any legal ramifications from Disney). Just can't sell/redistribute it, claim it as your own, etc, etc.

It is just below the title "Haunted House" and just above the purchase entry green button. ^_^ (I'm really not the only one that can see it, right? xD Right? D_D;; ) I can't get it's URL or anything to link directly to it because it's not even acting like an image. xD (It's disobedience of logic only makes it more alluring... <w< )

Lol, I just wanted to make sure since just because something might not be strictly against the rules, doesn't mean it wouldn't be frowned upon. :D I can understand if someone might make a piece of art and want to show it to people without those people using it for their own purposes. ^_^

Lol oh, the background.

You can't just grab the image URL b/c it's set as a css background. You'd have to use your browser's debug mode and go through the code to find it.

I understand that because the map is longer, it would get us more things, but some times it gets me over whelmed because its too much or you get lost easily.

If there could either be a week where the haunted house's cost was lowered a bit would be great!
Otherwise, (And I totally understand if you guys are busy with finishing up making the festival) maybe a map? just so we know where we are going?

Otherwise I will keep on chugging to get those gold coins ):)

Traversing the unknown lands, I waded deep through the code, searching even small portals into pocket dimensions. Here and there, there were entities that resembled familiar things, but I was still in alien territory.
"I will find you..." I vowed, "...no matter how long it takes. I will find you and rescue you from the precipice of obscurity..."
Gritting my teeth and bracing for an arduous journey, I trudged on. Deeper and deeper I went, worried I may never find my way out again. But I was determined.
And then it happened.
One more step and suddenly! As if it knew I was searching for it to save it...
Suddenly a blue glow sprang forth, like a halo surrounding it, beaming with a dominant energy.
I reached out to it and as soon as the tip of my finger touched it, it was in my arms.
My joy brightened me and I even smiled, gazing deeply into its beautiful swirls.
"Let us get out of this place now," I soothed it and raised my jackolantern staff confidently.
In a sprawling flash of white, the foreign world sank away, giving forth to the world I had come from.
We were free. And I could take it home where we could be together forever...


And now I have the image! ^D^
