"Alright, alright." Travis heaved a sigh, correcting his posture to stand for what could be minutes or closer to an hour. 'These formalities are gonna be the death of me. Couldn't we kill two birds with one stone and do this over breakfast?' His eyes scanned the throne room and his brother beside him to pass the time.

"I'm good, I'm good!" Lisette gave Lara a warm embrace. "Did you have breakfast yet? I might ask the maids for pancakes later!" She backed away and looked towards the throne. "I wonder what Papa wanted us for."

I shake my head "Nah, I just woke up. and pancakes? but what about waffles?" I ask in mock disbelief. then follow her gaze and nod "yeah, it must be something important."

Lisette giggled. "Nahh, today, I'm feeling for pancakes more than waffles." She walked with Lara towards the throne, expecting her father to be at the head. "Do you think it's more about the 'Ruler' stuff?"

I shrug "Maybe, most likely." I follow her in and look around for dad.

Lisette took her time strolling down the room on the carpeted rug leading to the throne. "Say, what did you think about all that 'Ruler' stuff? Do you wanna be Ruler?"

I think for a moment "i don't think so, it's so much responsibility, you know? And I want to explore the world before any of that. Besides I've always wanted to be a songwriter." I say smiling at the idea
