A bit puzzled by Dora's reactions, I nervously turned the doorknob. I hoped there wasn't any monster of killer behind the door. Although I was pretty sure I won't die this quickly, I was still very nervous and was blinking rapidly. I bit my lips.

The door opens quickly and soundlessly, revealing a huge hall. It was a cross between a throne room and a meeting room, the middle occupied by a large, long, table with many chairs around it, and at one end it was raised, and there was a throne. People milled around the chamber, talking in hushed voices. On the throne at the end of the table there was someone, their face in shadows, but you could feel them looking at you.

Not feeling safe and comfortable, my body shook a little. That person must be the lord...I thought. Not wanting to be laughed at, I tried my best to hide my fear, but I could guess that I was doing a bad job. I called Dora and attempted to walk towards the throne w/o bumping into anyone.

As you got within 200 meters of the person, they held up a hand, indicating for you to stop. "So, Vipera, is it? You must be confused as to what is happening. Ask me questions as you wish."

He waved a hand, and you suddenly found yourself in the middle of a very busy square full of people, where an air of conversation hung over the entire place. There were merchants selling food, books, clothes, jewelry, armour and weapons, metalwork, glasswork, trinkets, and pretty much anything anyone could think of.

The door was a deep red colour, and looked really ancient, with cracks running through it. Not to mention, it looked extremely large and heavy, and probably wouldn't open if you simply pushed or pulled on it. Maybe there was a switch nearby? The idea in your mind, you look around for a switch, and find that to the right of the door, there was a stone protruding from the wall unlike the other stones at your eye level.

He hummed thoughtfully, could this button open the door? He moved to stand in front of the protrusion. He glanced around the edges of the button, inspecting it. Deciding it was probably safe to touch, Micah reached out and pushed the button with his right hand.
