The leaves only rustle slightly as you step from them and onto Brazentalon's back. His eyes are sharp as he stares, too.
You notice shadows move on shadows, and after a disoriented second you realise that a large, well camouflaged critter is moving among the trees. It has brown, shaggy fur and is about the size of Brazentalon. You recognise it to be a brown bear.
I lean towards Brazentalon's ear and quietly whisper, "We should go back to that clearing silently and fly back to Elvenor."

Picking up the new rocks, you try again. You strike - once, twice, and then sparks fly wildly, scorching your fingers. But at least you've gotten the right combination.
Delirious cheers happily after rubbing her fingers together one or twice. She strikes the two stones together again over a semi rushed fire set up.

A groan emerges from your lips and hands are immediately clasped round your mouth. After a moment of only a few lone crickets in the grass you are pulled along the ground some more. Your head strikes a rock and your vision goes completely black.
When you come round you feel ropes press into your sides and dank, stuffy air fills your nostrils. You see you're in some sort of cave - the walls are all made of dirt and roots hang down from the ceiling. You can see a passageway stretch out of sight from the room you are in.

You have to blink for a second before your eyes adjust. The ground, where normal grass once was, is now covered by a thin layer of snow. The orange sunrise reflects off of it and casts a golden hue on everything. The fire has just managed to cope, now down to a few smouldering branches.
Crimson looks at the white, powdery stuff at her feet. "I thought so," she says, her voice shaking slightly. "Is... is this snow?"
Shootingstar nods and huffs, taking a step out and making a little trail of hoofprints. He looks back and tosses his head, as if encouraging the two pups to come out.
Emberpaw is even more confused than Crimson. He takes one look at it and shies away behind you.

(No worries)
"I think the branches there were still thick. I'm sure they were, but now I'm confused. The clearing was bright, but..." he shakes his head, lowering his voice further. "There's something not right about that place. And we're far from it now, too. It might be almost nightfall and there'll be worse things than bears deeper into the forest than this."
The dwarf's warning about Wyverns coming out at nightfall is another concern. You've been out in these woods for a while and you have noticed it getting ever darker under the thick branches of the ancient forest.
The bear digs at the leaves and sticks its muzzle in, returning with a branch of berries in its grip. It sits, holding the branch in its forepaws and digging in to the meagre meal.

The fire lights and soon you feel a nice warmth in front of you. You get a whiff of smoke, which is a worry but it should be able to escape from the cave.
Suddenly you feel heat radiating from your side, nowhere near your makeshift fire.
(pfft plz tell me he's not dealing with Mistaken Identity..)
He blinked blearily and groaned, trying to ay something. ANything.

Asteria walks outside the tent, "Yes this is snow. It's frozen water essentially so try not to get to much on you otherwise you risk your flame going out. I can't carry you the entire way there but maybe I can carry you a little of the ways and then you two can keep each other warm to lessen the risk."

"Well then, what should we do? The only thing I can come up with right now is giving it an apple to make it not attack us and then continue moving. Which probably won't work. Do you want to sneak around it or something?" I whisper.
