Solstice Griffi

Inspired by the long nights that come with the winter season, especially when it's clear and cool and you can watch the stars.

Visible monarch, elegant feathered wings, and chained jewelry.

I saw the winter theme and immediately thought of my favorite song, Above the Northern Lights.
In honor of that, I thought, why not a northern lights themed Griffi?


Visible fancy stripes, faded wings, and swirling snow.

White and different shades of blue are the first things that come to mind when I think of Winter...perhaps the stereotypical winter, but it still represents winter to me ^^

My griffi is based on the colors of ice in the winter. Those blues and teals, shading from light to dark... Those bright and mysterious twinkles which really bring about the magic of the Christmas season.

This Griffi is designed from the colours my mother decorates her Christmas tree! Even the neck part of the majestic horns looks like her tree skirt!

I'm basing this lovely girl off of the glow of a house light on the fallen snow. I love the way light reflects on the mounting drifts and I hope I've captured a little of that idea with this griffi.
