The One Who Refused To Be The Same
The world told her she could never be unique.
That she had to follow the rules.

The world said so many things to her.
Yet every time, she proved them wrong.
This darling is using my favourite species on sylestia, The zolnixi!
For this darling, I chose Tribal Stripes in memory of an old zolnixi of mine I release, Tribal.
I also used Fallow Deer because when it was released, it quickly became my favorite gene out of all of them and I used to hoard nixis with that trait.
I also used Mystic Runes because I think that just added a beautiful texture to the rest of the design <3
Her name, Tyia, is also a small 'memorial' thing for one of my first characters I ever designed. Though I currently dislike my this character, I do like to remember where I originally began with drawing characters.

Few desire to spend time in the frozen wastelands Sae makes her home, inhospitable to all but the most sturdy of creatures, but she revels in her loneliness. She dances with the aurora, falls with the snow, and lets the wind carry her where it will.

About why I chose what I did.
I've always loved winter, especially winter nights, which I am utterly convinced is the most beautiful thing in the world. Sae is the embodiment of my love for that sharp, lonely, cold beauty.

~*~ *Leilani* ~*~
This is Leilani, she is the caring, and most kindest Ryori you might ever meet. Her name means Child of heaven, heavenly flowers in hawaiian. She is a Guardian of the Pure Hearted, ( a sylesti that protects people or sylestis that are pure ). She once lived in the Shadow Realm, but then something weird happened one day.
Please note that Leilani was a dark purple before this story happened. She only turns into the goldish silver Ryori when she joins the Guardians of the Pure Hearted.
Leilani yawns as she wakes up for another day in the Shadow Realm. But wait, something is different, this is not her dark room, with her skull lights hanging across her walls, and her dark purple vanity. It is surprisingly bright, and she seems to be in a very big light blue room with white puffy things covering the floors. She looks around for a bit and then sees this red fiery ball above her head. She panics and looks for cover thinking it is a stray commit, but she can't find any. She stands there not knowing what to do and waits for the commit to hit her, but nothing happens. She waits some more and still, nothing happens. Cautiously she starts to explore some more, but finds nothing. She sits down, giving up trying to figure out why she is here. Suddenly, a very graceful Nephini comes out of nowhere. Most Nephinis are said to be weak and frail in the Shadow Realm, but this one looks well built, and has golden armor.
"Greetings Leilani, I am Halcyon, leader of the Guardians Of The Pure Hearted." Says Halcyon, in a booming voice. "Where am I?! How do you know my name?!?" Says Leilani, panicking even more. "That doesn't matter right now." Halcyon says, speaking in a urgent tone. "Leilani, have you ever wondered where your mother, Arcelia, is?"Mother, just thinking about her brings tears to my eyes. She was a beautiful Ryori. She was also very strong. She was the best mother a Roryi could have. No, I must not cry. Not in front of this Nephini, I would look weak. "What are you talking about? My mother died ages ago defending the Shadow Realm! I live with only my father now!" Shouts Leilani, making her mother seem like the strongest Ryori ever. "Just think about this Leilani. When you go back to the Shadow Realm think, what would mother do. Watch your friends closely, no one is how they seem." Says Halcyon, nearly whispering the last sentence. Halcyon fades away, leaving behind some fairy dust.
Suddenly, Leilani's real eyes pop open to her dark room. It seems weird, seeing her dark room. All that time in that bright place seemed like years. Now her room seems a little too dark, and its hard getting used to it again. She decides to take down the skull lights to use to see better. But now she remembers, these don't give off any light. She decides to thrown them away. She gets ready for battle school.
As Leilani walks to her school, she still is having trouble seeing in the now very dark entrance. She walks in to see Taurus talking to Perseus. Normally she would just keep on walking, but she notices Perseus looks scared. Taurus is a much bigger Ryori than Perseus. Taurus has a fierce look to him, with his Jester's Crest, Skeletal Armor and mask. On the other hand Perseus has a less intimidating look with Ethereal Armor and Fox Fire. Taurus seems to be pushing Perseus into a corner against his will. " Hey Taurus! I think Kalani wants you to meet him!" Yells Leilani, trying to get Taurus away from Pursues. "Oh!" Says Taurus in a weary voice. He nods his head to Leilani and then glares back at Perseus while walking away. I better not talk to Perseus, he might be scared of me too. Since I am kinda friends with Taurus and Kalani. As Leilani walks away from Perseus, she hears a quiet voice that says, "Thank you." but she thinks she is imagining it. She walks down the dark hall to start a normal school day, hopefully.
After her magic class, its time to go to the hunting grounds to get food. Leilani starts walking towards the area she and her friends normally hunt at but is stopped by a familiar voice. " Hey, you better not hunt without us." Says Altair, in a bossy voice. Behind her are three other female Ryoris. Amathea, Anahita (who are twin sisters) and Desdemona. They all look fairly alike with the same Ethereal Headdress, same pretty face. Amathea and Anahita both have the Petal Wreath, while Desdemona has Icicle Orbs. On the other hand Altair has the Ethereal Headdress, Cyberpunk Armor and Shadow Wings. These girls where her friends, but not Leilani is second guessing how good of friends they are. Altair seems to boss around Amathea, Anahita and Desdemona. I don't want to make any enemies, I guess i'll listen to her this one time. I don't know why I dress like these girls. She waves them over and they start hunting.
At the end of the hunt, they all seem to get enough food to keep on going for today. Altair makes them sit with Taurus, Kalani and some other male Ryoris. Leilani thinks Altair just want to rub in her face that she has Kalani as her boyfriend. The most feared Ryori in the school. He looks very strong, and is a very deep purple color. He has a Mystic Mask, Tempest Armor, and Jester's Crest. The other male Ryoris, including Taurus, have the same Jester's Crest. Leilani eats in science while the other Ryoris talk.
As the school day ends, Leilani recalls all of the terrible things she has seen today. They used to be normal, but now she thinks they are wrong. She walks home, greets her father, and heads to her room to go take a nap. She's back in the Light blue room where she meet Halcyon. She waits for him to appear again, he dose, but with another Ryori. Leilani almost faints as she sees a old version of her mother. "Leilani!" Arcelia shouts, running to her daughter and rubs her head to hers. "Leilani, if you want to see your mother, in person, you will have to join the Guardians of the Pure Hearted." Says Halcyon, ignoring the fact that she hasn't seen her mother in years. " Of course I will!! But why are you letting me join. Im a Ryori, Ryoris aren't allowed out of the Shadow Realm, unless the king himself lets them!" Says Leilani, confused. "Because, your my daughter. At a certain age, all Guardians ask their children. And because I know you have a pure heart, too. I've been guarding you since you where a little Ryori. But I couldn't when you got older because I could get caught very easily." Says Arcelia, trying to make her daughter less confused. "If you agree to join, you and your father have to take out the sapphire your mother left in your Ethereal Headdress. You will need to both have this in your hands and you will appear here, where you are now." Says Halcyon, in a informing voice. "How will I tell father about this!" Says Leilani, worried. "He already knows." Says Arcelia. But before Leilani can say anything else, they fade away. She wakes up and immediately heads to where she saw her father last.
"Father!! Mother told me everything! We need to go there now!" She nearly yells to her father. He nods, surprisingly calm for what is going to happen. They both hold the sapphire and they start to fade away from the Shadow Realm.They appear at the same blue room Leilani was five seconds ago. Mother and Halcyon are standing there, waiting for us.
2 Weeks Later
In the grand palace of the Guardians of the Pure Hearted, a knighting is about to happen. Nephinis, Areidinis, Faeloras, Lunemaras, Puffadores and Qitaris all all shades of whites, golds and silvers line the rows of seats in the chapel part of the palace. All of them have some sort garment that holds a gemstone ranging in many colors.They all watch the 2nd and 3rd Ryoris being knighted. As Halcyon lowers a orb of light to Leilani father, it shines brighter and turns into 6 orbs of amethyst that circle around his head. Halcyon says the knighting versus and he is officially knighted. Halcyon does the same to Leilani and the orb of light shines the brightest it has ever shined. It stays like that and goes into her empty Ethereal Headdress. Everyone in the chapel gasps as they see it is the same a Halcyons gemstone. "Leilani!" Halcyon gasps. "What! Whats wrong!" Leilani nearly shouts. "Nothing is wrong! You will be the next leader when Halcyon's time is over!" Says Arcelia. "Why!" Says Leilani."Because. you have the same gemstone as Halcyon. We were worried because no one has had the same gemstone as Halcyon is ages!" Says Arcelia. "Its an honor." Says Leilani, bowing.

Enora and Toren (wanted to show female and male image love the female)
This pair lives by the sea and can only be seen during a full hunters moon (which is rare). Most sailors think they are a ghostly apperation that leads them to shore when they are lost at sea, because all they see is a turquoise glow (or two) showing them to the shore.

Flay Queen of Misfits
Flay is a Lighira with the spirit of a human woman. Once hated for her deadly appearance, she has become the guardian of the mountain of Alopos along with her mate Callis. As a human, Flay was born with the devil's eyes and was shunned from her village. She spent her time in the wilderness and befriended a winged Lighira over the course of many years. The Lighira, feared amongst the villagers for her black and bloody coat, had been hunted for many years. The current leader of Flay's village had clipped her wings when he was a teenager. Callis, his son, was to bring back the Lighira's head. Flay fell in love with him and brought him to meet her Lighira, only to be shot fatally with an arrow from his bow. Callis discovered that he loved her and, as both punishment and as a pity gift from the gods, he was given the body of a white and blue Lighira. Flay, loved by the Lighira and blessed by the creature's tears, lives on in the body of her beloved friend.

Nyx is an artist in the colors of the night. At sunset, she sweeps across the sky, shrouding the land with her wings and bringing the dark loveliness of the night to all the creatures of the world. No one knows where she comes from, only that she was there when the world began, and will be there when the world ends. Attempts to catch her always fail; she is too wild and untamed to ever be caged. However, if you are very, very lucky and share her dark heart, she may deign to give you the pleasure of her company.
(Nyx started out as a dragon character of mine, then slowly morphed into an aesthetic ideal for me. These have always been her colors; this has always been her design. I don't know where she came from, only that one night, I looked, and she was there.)

The design is based off one of my favorite book series, starting with "Tithe" by Holly Black, as well as "The Ballad of Tam Lin," Tithe's original inspiration. I've always been drawn to this tale, it's dark yet sweet. Tithe explores lost innocence, and what it means to be human.
