St.Patrick's Day has become slightly (okay, a lot) boozy. There's no greater-known Irish drink than Guinness.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one to think Guinness.. I knew green would be everywhere so I thought "what is very St. Patricks but not green? GUINNESS!" lol

I based it on a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, because what's luckier than fining that much gold. :)

This is my St.Patricks day design! Good luck to everyone, I've seen some really awesome designs ^-^
I've named my design, 'St.Patricks Ring' or 'Ol Irish Claddagh' (couldn't decide which cause I like em both)
My inspo for this design was the ring I see my mother wearing, an Irish Claddagh. The Claddagh is an old Irish womens tradition (I myself am actually 1/5 Irish but my family claims Irish heritage over everything else) The ring itself is usually silver and depicts two hands clasping a heart, which is usually surmounted by a crown. The elements of this symbol are often said to correspond to the qualities of love (the heart), friendship (the hands), and loyalty (the crown). The way that a Claddagh ring is worn on the hand is usually intended to convey the wearer's romantic availability, or lack thereof.
Traditionally, if the ring is on the right hand with the heart facing outward and away from the body, this indicates that the person wearing the ring is not in any serious relationship, and may in fact be single and looking for a relationship: "their heart is open."
When worn on the right hand but with the heart facing inward toward the body, this indicates the person wearing the ring is in a relationship, or that "someone has captured their heart".
A Claddagh worn on the left hand ring finger facing outward away from the body generally indicates that the wearer is engaged.
When the ring is on the left hand ring finger and facing inward toward the body, it generally means that the person wearing the ring is married."
Also, I chose the Griffi to be my model for the Irish Claddagh because it's well known that us Irish are very proud people, and the stance of this male Griffi, legs spread in a protective stance and head tilted in an observant and regal way, reminded me of that old Irish pride :)
The picture below is an image of an Irish Claddagh with an emerald heart (it's not my mothers, just one of google images)

Inspired by a patch of dandelions <3
Makes me think of a little nature sprite guarding a pile of gold somewhere in a forest.
