Pet inspired by cold fall rains, and the muddy ground it leaves.

Besides Halloween and supernatural spirits, the first fall-related theme I think of is anything pumpkin. Yes, from pumpkin spice flavored drinks and snacks to pumpkin-shaped cookies, pumpkins are one of the most recognizable foods of autumn.

However, the thing I love most about pumpkins, and from which this Ryori is based, are the carvings one can do on them. I remember the family going to the pumpkin patch and my sister and I each picked out a pumpkin to carve out. Of course, we both wanted the largest ones possible, but we ultimately left with two smaller and lighter pumpkins.

So ladies and gentlemen, say hello to Lady Oshun, the Master Pumpkin Carver.

In the spirit of Haloween and spooky stories, here is my haunted doll inspired ryori:



Shock runes for the cracks in her porcelain, faded rose markings for her faded floral dress, and galaxy for her spirit.

Inspired by my walks home in the evenings, when the leaves swirl in the gentle breezes and the stars shine in the dark sky despite the glow of the streetlamps.

This was inspired by the cloudy gray days of fall, and the yellow gold leaves of birch trees in full bloom against the sky.

This design is based off of a sunset in the Fall. I always love watching them, especially if I happen to be lucky enough to be at the family cottage~
