You stepped onto one log, but it was hard to get your paw out. The mud was wet and sticking to your fur.

Nothing replied, but you felt your fur tingle as if it was a physical reply. A squirrel was scurrying ahead of the path, busy eating a nut.
Snowblaze felt her fur tingle, as if she presence was responding. So the legends were true!
The she-cat paused as she spotted a squirrel ahead. She felt her belly gnawing out of hunger. Unfortunately for her, she didn't have the skills to hunt. But no harm in trying, right?
She lowered her head and back to the ground as best the could, her tail swishing in hopeful anticipation.

She gauged her distance to the next log to see if she could make it even with the stickiness of the mud.

You struggle a little, not the best at the position. By the time you'd managed to get it, the squirrel had spotted you and climbed up a tree. You gain one hunting level.

It'd be a hard jump, if you missed it'd splash your stomach form.

Dusk flattened her ears determined as she backed up and the log and got a running start as she leaped for the next log

Your lat paw slipped off as you jumped onto the next log as it was slippery wood. Your three paws managed to hang on, though.

Snowblaze re-positioned herself a couple times, but by the time she felt she had gotten it right the squirrel had darted into the safety of a nearby tree. She hissed under her breath, her white pelt must've alarmed it. Not being able to hear any noise she made didn't help either.
She stood upright again and parted her jaw to see if she could scent anything nearby.

(Wait, completely deaf or half deaf? Can you quickly please explain quick what you can and can't hear so I don't make a mistake? owo)
There wasn't anymore prey around that would be possible to catch, you found yourself upwind.

(Oh, sorry if I didn't explain this. She's mostly deaf, she only really hears loud noises(like a monster, or something yowling nearby), and she can hear herself speak, but only as blurred noises. She can lip-read though, and is good at interpreting expressions)
She closed her jaw at the lack of scent, she realized she must be upwind. She reminded herself to look for food later, and continued padding along in the forest.
