"That's the point of running away, Leto, is that my parents don't know and I'm not supposed to. Ugh, Qinnara always acts like she's the king, such an annoying child" Qillorik scoffed. "And I'm not running away because I'm scared of my stupid fate or whatever, I'm... wait, how did you about my engagement?" Qillorik stopped in his tracks, looking at you accusingly.
"You're so dramatic, it was impossible not to know, as soon as you ran off to have your temper tantrum, I came in and read the letter" Oriah said, defending you. Qillorik looked completely shocked and taken aback by Oriah's blunt speech.
"Excuse me? How dare you! You are-"
"Not in charge of me, if you're running away, that means you no longer have any power over me." Oriah states, leaving Qillorik gaping at her, trying to think of some sort of comeback, but was unable to say anything. "Besides, you need me, darlings, we're going to Quyin for a reason" She said, fanning herself with her handfan.
"Prince Oba, you could easily be giving up your rights to the throne" she sighed, she couldn't argue any further nor defy him, "You shouldn't insult the Princess like that, she is your sister." Leto calmly reminded him, packing his toiletries into the larger backpack along with a few sets of clothing change for him. She also brought a towel.
"Quyin is famous for ship building, no? Seek audience with your father and say there are rumours spreading around that they are considering cutting off trade to some places, and although they are just rumours, you wish to go and speak to the heir to make sure trade routes are firm between them and Ekavacana. That way he sees you as being helpful and concerned for your country. While we are there, you may as well greet the heir and learn about the country."
She gave a nod of thanks to Lady Oriah, "In addition, a marriage is not uncommon to strengthen tied between countries houses. It was rather obvious you would get one soon, especially as with age you become more defiant. It is way to tie you down and obtain loyalty to the royal household."
With that, Leto left. She stayed to the shadows and where the servants would walk, large backpack on her back. She went downstairs to the courtyard, and headed over to the stables ((I presume there is one? If not, infantry unit place or somethin' cuz strong military)) she then looked around to see if she could find anyone.

(Sorry it's taken me so long to reply, I was at my grandma's all day)
"That's a brilliant plan. Oriah, could you write up a note telling my parents that's what I'm doing, I'll tell you what to write" the prince said as you left to the stables, Oriah seemed compliant with the request thankfully.
Prince Qillorik's personal horse perked up seeing you, as he had become quite familiar with you over the years. The horse, named Etelo, was dressed in rather fancy equipment, which would make him very noticeable if you were to talk through town.
You spot several guards around the stables, you only know one of their names, Percy, who was in the same slave house as you, but was bought by the palace's head of staff, rather than a personal slave as you were. The other three guards seemed to be much older, and you've only ever seen them around the castle, but you were never permitted to engage in conversation with you.

The other three guards seemed to be much older, and you've only ever seen them around the castle, but you were never permitted to engage in conversation with you.
((I don't reply to Galvana for days at a time so it's all good, don't apologize))
She touched Etelo's nose, letting the horse sniff her as she entered the stall. She closed the door behind and started fussing with the equipment: checking over if it was clean and that everything was in the right place. She also checked his coat to make sure it was clean and there was no dirt that could cause injury. Leto grabbed the Prince's saddle and bridle, slipping off the halter and putting it on, attaching the Halters lead to the bridle in a slip knot. She was a fan of double bridles or hackamores rather than a plain snaffle bridle.
She positioned the saddle over Etelo's numnah attaching it to the crupper, breeching and breastplate of the horse. She was delicate with the fancy, decorative half-blanket along the horses back legs. She tucked two half-blinkers that didn't completely remove the sideways vision of Etelo's, but make it a bit harder, decorated with jewels.
Leto let Etelo out, tying him outside in the yard as she prepared the stirrups to be the right length and tightened the girth so she could fit two fingers under it. Once satisfied he wouldn't run away, Leto headed over to Percy and dipped her head politely in greeting, "May we request one horse for the Lady Oriah and a travel mule to aid us on Prince Oba's journey. For the travel mule, a overcheck, nosebag, blinker and chamfron with assure safety on the journey."

(okay,, honestly though, I'm getting really invested in this story lol)
"Leto? Is that you?" Percy asked as you approached, smiling, as he had recognized you. He made a mental note of everything you asked of him. "I'll see what I can get" He said with a wave, walking off.
After a few minutes, Percy returned with everything you requested. "Chamfron's a little damaged, sorry, it was the only extra one I could spare, so make sure you keep an eye on it" Percy warned you The mule was a fairly generic looking grayish brown color, and Oriah's horse was a deep black color with a white four pointed star on its head.
"So how have you been doing, it's been a long time since I've last seen you, and I don't think we've really talked... since... well, you probably remember" He said, trailing off. You could tell he was obviously referring to the slave trading central. You can remember him talking about his family, which was a tribe of warriors, and you knew of his home village, as his tribe's home was part of the path your herd would travel through.
"If I'm allowed to ask- what's the occasion? You and the prince don't often go out with people who aren't well known... or maybe it's just me who doesn't know of lady... what did you say her name was? Oriah? Who is she? uh, if I'm allowed to ask- that is" Percy asks you

She smiled softly, "If it is anything to you, I know the herds still live. Your tribe will have gathered up with them where the bandits can not reach." she looked away with a melancholy look, "However, I am afraid that I can not return, the herd would be found with my set of skills" she was referring to her main job: a messenger. She would often be away from the herd to deliver messages from her herd to other herds and villages, perhaps warnings or blessings. Her secondary job would be to scout ahead. She often wouldn't be classified as part of a herd, as she was rarely around, and only had one reindeer to speak of to assist her.
"Lady Oriah is from a foreign land, she will be assisting us on Prince Oba's journey, as she seems t know the details about it. There are rumours to do with Quyin that we will be checking out, to make sure the trade route remains untouched. Lumber is something we should take seriously if there is a risk of losing a big supply of it."
She took the mule and the horse with a smile, "Thank you." she touched the black horses forehead, "What a strange facial marking, thank you again, the chamfrons fine damaged, it's only to avoid having the mule killed." she gave a smile, and then started working on tacking up Lady Oriahs horse, tying them up near Etelo. She hoped Lady Oriah could ride, but added a strap to the saddle anyway encase she needed to hold only something.
She stood alongside the horse to get the bit in and the bridle over it's head, being short usually made these jobs very hard, especially when the horse raised it's head. She hummed as she thought about what else she needed, decorations of course, but not as extravagant as Prince Obas. He would be upset if he didn't seem like royalty while travelling, but a gut instinct told her they would be attacked several times because of it, and while her agility was practically unmatched, her arm was injured, and she hadn't gotten a chance to clean it.
"We may be going to the Almasarie Colosseums at some point. It would be interesting to watch and train there." she added thoughtfully, not really knowing what she was saying. She finished up tightening the crupper and breastplate of the horse, attaching a martingale as well. She didn't add any extra jewels or pommels.

*Thats good to hear* Percy said, looking relieved as he heard of their homeland. *Hey Leto, remember to stay safe. I want to go home some day, and I want you to see home too* he said, much quieter so the others guards wouldnt hear them. He had to bend down a considerable about to talk to you due to your height, as he stood well over 6 feet tall.
As you finished preparing, you bid farewell to Percy and went to the place Prince Oba would be waiting- the front of the palace. You saw him standing near the front gate, lady Oriah at his side, but beyond him was princess Qinnara and her personal guard, standing in the way of the prince and the magi. You could hear Qillorik shouting at her, but you couldnt quite make out what he was saying. Oriah, seeing your approach, motioned for you to come join the with a smile.

Before she left, she did give Percy a hug and kiss, although deep down she knew she would have to chose between her herd and the Prince one day. She didn't know how to feel. As the walked the three equines down the path, she came to a halt, frowning. It wasn't unusual to kiss someone hello or goodbye in the herds without a relationship, so she was comfortable doing so.
Leto kept quiet and looked at Lady Oriah questioningly, if Qillorik spoke out of turn it would be Quinnara's personal guard who would suffer. There was a risk their lie would be found out. She gulped, still holding the reins as she did the two horses stirrups to be guessed lengths, although she knew Prince Oba's.

As Qillorik continued bickering with his sister, Oriah stepped forward.
Leto, bring the horses here, were leaving now* she called over to you, pushing Qinnara and Qillorik back, which shocked both of them. The two began turning their attention to her, and Qinnaras guard force of about 10 raised their weapons, pointing them all at Oriah.
You dared to draw closer, now in hearing range, which was unfortunate, as you could now hear Qinnaras screeching.
*HOW DARE YOU TOUCH ME, FILTHY STREET ANIMAL! IM GOING TO HAVE YOU EXECUTED FOR THIS INSOLENCE-* but before she could continue, Oriah put a finger up the the girls lips, enraging her even more.
*Hush darling, we dont have time for your childish games, dont be a brat, little one* Oriah said condescendingly, venom dripping from her voice as her grin turned to a slight scowl. *All of you soldiers here too, stop acting to brave, you dont have to pretend you arent scared* Oriah said, smiling softly at the guards around her, their weapons dropping slightly as they looked at each other in confusion.
In a single motion, Oriah snapped her fan apart, the blades merging with her fingers as she pushed Qillorik back, who began making his way towards you.
*Get moving darlings, Ill meet you at the docks* she said to you and the prince with a smile. Her clawed fingers began growing into large, sharp tendrils, and the soldiers jumped back in surprise as Qinnara fell to the ground in shock. *out of my way, darlings, I dont have time to play* Oriah sneered at the enemy group, using her claws to pick up and shove the 11 people away.
*Time to go! We dont have much time!* Oriah shouts as she runs over, her claws shrinking back into a slightly smaller form as she made her way towards you and a terrified prince Qillorik

Leto looked shocked, "L-Lady Oriah.. assaulting a Princess.." she looked horrified, as if shocked, before getting on one knee, her hands cupped on the other one to let Quillorik step on her so he could mount his steed easier, "Please go ahead." she said with a gulp, terrified at how much work it would be to clean this up.
She then turned to Lady Oriah, turning the horse around, her hands shaking, "D-Don't hurt Prince Oba, please." she whispered quietly, voice shaking as she waited, offering to help her up as well. The travel mule was not one for riding, she'd put the larger backpacks on it attached the buckles, she wasn't going to ride, she wasn't capable of riding her herds deer, let alone horses.
Leto sighed, this was messy, she was in deep trouble. If she stayed and helped princess Quinnara, she would probably be killed for Lady Oriah and Prince Obas treason. If she didn't, she would be killed for her own treason and conspiring. And helping Lady Oriah escape. What a pickle. Of course, this may just be in her head, but the guards, her personal guard, someone like her, would be harmed.
Her morals were setting her judgement, which wasn't safe. She'd have to make sure Prince Oba was safe, then make her choice and own way with the travel mule, which wasn't fast. She'd planned on a walk or trot, not a gallop. Why did Quillorik had to start fighting? What was it even on?

Oriah grinned, seemingly unaffected by her dangerous actions. *Dont worry Leto, Ive only ever fought in self defense* Oriah reassures you, her smile turning soft and sincere, but her expression quickly shifted to worry as Qillorik and his horse began galloping away. *Darling... Leto... isnt it your job to protect the prince? Are you not coming with us...?* she asked, her face painted with worry.
Oriah quickly climbed onto the travel mule, urging it to go and severing the rope you were holding it by with her claws and it began walking off, not as quickly as Oriah wouldve hoped, but still going.
*Your darling prince needs you, go catch up to him, me and... Mumu will be fine* Oriah tells you, motioning to the black horse that was still with you, and making up a name for the mule on the spot. *None of them can hurt me, you know this* she tells you, insisting shell be alright
