You go for a side entrance you used to know that has less people around and fewer sentries. It appears not to have changed. The one guard posted there ignores you as you pass, and then you're out in the Old Forest. Daylight filters through the tree canopy and illuminates the path before you, the sounds of the forest creatures filling your head. If you follow the path, then you'll eventually end up on the Adventurer's Road.

Crimson tucks into the Critter as you turn to look around for the foal. It isn't on the road ahead or behind. You peer into the darkness of Old Forest and don't see any signs of the Pegasus there either.
Now that your rage has come to pass and you have time to think, the events that took place in the past few minutes finally settle in. You faced a stranger to save all of those young Wild creatures - not many would be as couragous as that. He could have harmed you, though you were lucky enough to avoid that by showing those Hippogrifs more respect than he ever had.

"Crimson do you care if I move your meal that way we aren't on the road," I ask her.

You see a few Critters darting across the path ahead of you, but nothing else shows itself. Soon you are on the Adventurer's Road, the sun just rising above the horizon and the day still cool. Your fire magic keeps you warm though.
By midday the only life you've seen is a few merchants and their Familiars, most of them Griffins which you steer clear of. At this point you're lagging and your back aches from so much walking. You'll need to take a break soon.

A bit late at this point. When you turn back to Crimson, all that's left of the Critter is bones. She licks her lips and lies down. The look in her eyes clearly says, If you're moving the meal, you're moving me.

I pick them both up and move them off the road,"There no chance of you getting run over now."

You rest a while under the shade of a large oak. The sun is high and the air is dry and hot. From the way you came, you notice a cart approaching. From the looks of it, it's another merchant's cart. But it's the first you've seen that's going in the same direction as you.
As it nears, you realise that there isn't a rider. Instead a Centaur pulls it along, probably the merchant himself. When he notices you're there his eyes widen and he stumbles a bit.
"Oh. Didn't notice you there, son," he laughs. "Nice day for a bit of travelling."
