" Sorry Cherry, I didnt want you to get hurt..." Lucy trailed off and snuggled Cherry, wagging her tail happily. Her ears flattened as she sensed another presence, one not alike any there. She slowly handed Cherry to Mokee and bolted for her duffle bag. Rin laughed "Yep I give up, you definetly beat me!" Rin seemed to sense the same presence, he grabbed Soka and raced for Mokee. He ran a few yards away and drew his sword, that had previously been hidden. Rin erupted in blue flames, his pointed ears grew longer and he now had a tail. Lucy searched through her bag for her sword, finding it at the very bottom " Mokee, are you going to fight? If you do be aware or Rins flames, theyre deadly. "

Cherry and Mokee looked confused and Soka looked just surprised as he felt like he had just been chucked at his sister. Soka's small claws gripped Mokee's fur as he scrambled up, scratching her in the process. " F-fight?! " Mokee stuttered out before glancing at the flames. " Um...wha... "
She then put her siblings down gently, waking Boss up in the process. A cracking sound came from Mokee as her body jerked around and slowly took shape of a large wolf. She let out a small whimper like sound and Soka smiled. " She's saying ' If I have to!' " he translated, looking proud at being able to understand wolves.

" Thanks for the translation Soka!" Rin looked happily towrds his new friend Soka. " Theres nomething here, im not sure how to explain it... but its like the feeling of somone watching you and you know theyre there, but you cant see them." Lucy explained " Since Rin can sense it im pretty sure its a demon." Rin glared at Lucy before getting ready to attack. Mizuki jumped up and grabbed her bow, her arm had finally stopped bleeding. " Im going to fight too." She said and pulled an arrow out of her quiver. " Then I guess ill fight too." Naomi groaned and turned into a kitsune.

Soka looked at the adults getting ready for a fight. He wanted to help but what could he do?
He then heard slightly silent cracking behind him and saw his brother and sister change into their wolf forms. Instantly he felt a pang of jealously...perhaps it wouldn't hurt if he tried again? To change that was.
A memory flashed in his mind of him laying in a pool of his own blood and Mokee telling him off for trying as she cried, picking him up and hugging him.
Soka shook his head, the memory disappearing. Perhaps trying again would be bad...

Mokee's wolf ears flicked up and turned, trying to pick up sounds as she raised her nose and sniffled deeply, taking in scents and separating the ones she knew belong to her.

Lucy twitched her ears and swished her tail, trying to sense any differences in the heat surrounding them, which usually means there's a monster. Rin spotted a flicker of movement, barly detectable. Lucy saw Rin stiffen then point to a nearby grove. Lucy, Rin, and Naomi advanced, while Mizuki had their backs.

Mokee watched them all slowly shuffle forward and copied them. Moving forward slowly.
The three puppies watched with interest. Cherry had previously filled Boss in so he knew what was going on. Boss then put on a brave face and whispered to his siblings. " Bet I could take it on on my own! " he bragged, puffing his tiny chest up before running forward.
" Boss! No! " Soka and Cherry called in unison, Cherry then glaring at Soka assuming he copied her.

"Boss! Its a super high level demon, no one except for the Paladin can defeat it on his own!" Lucy dropped her sword and ran to stop Boss " Mizuki fired at the monster hoping to distract it from Boss and Lucy. " Im going in !" Rin charged and distracted it.

Boss ducked away the girl and carried on running towards where the demon was. Mokee stared at shock as she saw her little brother run towards the danger. She let out a howl at him and charged forward, hoping to reach the fast pup.

(I kept getting distracted while writing this XD)
Rin stared in shock as Boss kept charging twords the demon. " Boss, stop, youll get yourself kiled!" Rin stabbed the demon, but it only made it angry. " Everyone we need to attack at the same time." Lucy turned around and ran to her sword and drew it .

When Boss was in front of the demon all braveness had grained from his chubby puppy face and he whimpered before diving back, hiding behind Mokee's back legs.
Mokee nodded before growled at Boss as she told him off, giving him a gentle warning nip on the ankles before turning and walking slowly towards the demon. Her ears where pushed back and her tail not moving as a snarl came on her face. Geez, she hated demons...
